Side member press for KLT Automobile & Tubular<br />

Products Ltd.<br />

In November <strong>2009</strong> KLT Automobile & Tubular Products Ltd. commissioned<br />

us with the construction and delivery of a side member<br />

press which will operate with a press force of 5,000 t (5,512 US<br />

tons). The Indian fl agship company within the KLT Group uses<br />

this press to produce longitudinal chassis beams for trucks which,<br />

in turn, will be used to build chassis. As a top supplier, KLT Automobile<br />

& Tubular Products Ltd. trusts in state-of-the-art technology.<br />

Here, <strong>Siempelkamp</strong> supports its customer with top-notch machinery.<br />

Plate forming presses: leading manufacturer thanks to modern concepts<br />

Due to our custom solutions as well as innovative and modern technologies, we<br />

are still the leading manufacturer of plate forming presses.<br />

Our scope of supply includes special hydraulic presses which produce, for example,<br />

longitudinal chassis beams, axle brackets and cap parts with a press force of up to<br />

50 MN.<br />

To achieve high precision, these <strong>Siempelkamp</strong> presses are also available as<br />

8-column presses with two sliding tables and a double tool carrier. Our dishing<br />

Electricals Ltd. (BHEL)<br />

An 8,000 t (8,818 US tons) plate bending and dishing press for<br />

our Indian customer BHEL was in progress during <strong>2009</strong>. After the<br />

press components have been delivered, the installation will be<br />

completed in 2010. The Indian company will manufacture large<br />

pressure vessels for power plants on the <strong>Siempelkamp</strong> press.<br />
