How the race is organised<br />

The press office<br />

There is a press office set up in the race village at each port of call. Access is authorized to<br />

all accredited media. It is open from 9am to 8pm outsi<strong>de</strong> arrivals.<br />

Four boats follow the competitors: the Race Directors boat, the GMF Assistance boat, the<br />

race finish boat and the <br />

the competitors safety, and give the public and media the chance to follow the race as<br />

insi<strong>de</strong>rs thanks to the communication services installed on board.<br />

Departures and arrivals<br />

Competitors leave their moorings about two hours before the start. Spaces are ma<strong>de</strong><br />

available on press boats to journalists who want to follow the <strong>de</strong>partures and arrivals.<br />

Registration must be done at the press office.<br />

Pontoon access<br />

There is public access to pontoon, except during the times of leg <strong>de</strong>partures and arrivals<br />

when they are restricted to those with accreditation. For accreditation please contact<br />

pressesolitaire@lefigaro.com<br />

Receiving position updates<br />

The organisers broadcast 5 position updates a day at 4h30, 8h30, 11h00, 16h00 and 19h00,<br />

French times. The latest positions can also be fo<strong>und</strong> on the website www.lasolitaire.com<br />
