How to follow the race<br />
The press office on board the PSP Cormoran<br />
The Marine Nationale, partner of the event, make available the French naval ship PSP<br />
Cormoran, to follow the Eric Bompard Cachemire Prologue and the full length of the race.<br />
The on board Press Office is ma<strong>de</strong> up of a journalist and a photographer from Le Figaro, a<br />
French Television team of two, as well as a cameraman and a radioman from the<br />
organisation. Together they will be relaying information to shore, enabling spectators to<br />
follow the 42 nd edition throughout the race.<br />
Daily radio chats and interviews<br />
Daily radio chats and interviews, via VHF radio, take place between sailors and the radio<br />
<br />

Sens, the so<strong>und</strong> recordings are available from the press office and can be downloa<strong>de</strong>d on<br />
the race site www.lasolitaire.com, press column (log-in and password are to be requested<br />
from the race press office).<br />
Press releases<br />
Two daily press releases are sent to the French press by email, at approximately 6h30 and<br />
17h30 (French time). They recapture the great moments of the race and offshore news briefs<br />
following the daily radio chats and interviews. One English press release is sent out at<br />
approximately 16h30.<br />

On the La Solitaire du Figaro website, users can follow the day to day <strong>de</strong>velopment of the<br />
42 nd edition of the race: podcasts, photos, vi<strong>de</strong>os, positions, rankings, daily releases, news<br />

Vi<strong>de</strong>o production<br />
Images from the La Solitaire du Figaro, produced by the company Nefertiti, are available to<br />
broadcasters throughout the whole race. The images of the Eric Bompard Prologue and the<br />
starts will be available at Serte (Paris) after the image feeds. Images of the finishes and<br />
vi<strong>de</strong>os received at sea from the PSP Cormoran throughout the legs are available from the<br />
race FTP. A TV alert is sent before each feed.<br />
Le Figaro<br />
Le Figaro guarantees daily coverage in its sporting pages of the latest features, portraits,<br />
Gui<strong>de</strong> exclusively about<br />
the La Solitaire, which will appear<br />
nationally on Saturday 23 rd July. Two journalists will cover the entire event: Serge Messager<br />
and Laurence Schreiner. Both will be accompanied by photographers Jean-Christophe<br />
Marmara and Alexis Courcoux. The latest photos will be available daily on the AFP network.<br />
