the main-street storefronts to luxury townhomes,
and eventually will include traditional single-family
homes as the 75-acre project is built out.
“It’s the place people want to come to,” adds Paul
Bouley, Crocker Park’s security manager, noting
that residents include celebrities and members of
the Cleveland professional sports teams, “and it
was quite a scene when LeBron James was here.”
Although not a resident, LeBron James, star of
the Cleveland Cavaliers, recently stopped by the
Borders bookstore to autograph copies of his book,
Shooting Stars.
“People started lining up on Thursday to get 800
color-coded wristbands for the Friday morning
book signing,” says Patrick Carrabine, Securitas
USA site supervisor at Crocker Park. “We assisted
with crowd control, allowing groups with each
color of wristband in the store at different times,
and were responsible for reminding people that
no photographs were allowed. That was difficult
when practically everyone has a cell phone that
takes photos.”
Special events at Crocker Park that generate a
somewhat lower level of frenzy include the annual
4 th of July celebration, the Halloween pet costume
