Steel Code SLS Check EN 1993-1-1 Relative deformation For each beam type, limiting values for the relati relative ve deflections are set, using the menu 'Steel > Beams > Setup > Relative deformations'. With the option 'Steel > Beams > Relative deformation', the relative deformations can be checked. The relative deformations are given as absolute value values, relative values related to the span, or as unity check related to the limit for the relative value to the span. 6. Scaffolding SLS Check – EN 12811-1-1 The deformation check in SLS is a part of EC3. According to the code EN1281 EN1281-11 the allowable deformation is L/100. This limit value is set as ffollows: Steel -> Setting => Setting of the Relative Deformation => Bring all values to 100 Example SLS Check Scaffolding.esa - Choose for “Relative deformation” in the steel menu. - The maximum check will be found for beam B352: a unity check of 0,2 0,25.
