CONTENTS.mThis book is said by Chu Tz_ to treat
of the character of men and their doings, and to be an
enquiry into affairs and principles, and he refers approvingly
to the opinion of i_ ]_ who surmised that it was the
production of a disciple of Tz0 Kung, probably because
his name occurs in it several times.
CHAPTER I.--CONFUCIUS AS MATCHMAKER.

need hesitate to give his daughter to such a man to wife.
It is true he has been in prison etc. Couv. _. qui l'on
