For easy, economical installation and an
exceptionally smooth joint, choose the
Alligator ® Conveyor Belt Lacing System.
Alligator Lacing is available in continuous
lengths to fit any belt width and the onepiece
design provides uniform tension
across the full belt width. The one-piece
fastener strip also ensures that there are no
loose pieces to work themselves out of the
belt and into the conveyed product.
Designed for belts from 1/32" (.8 mm) to
1/2" (12.5 mm), Alligator Belt Lacing
installation requires no special tools, only a
hammer. The lacing is secured with teeth
that embed lengthwise on the belt, providing
a strong, vise-like hold. Clips hold gauge
rod and lacing firmly and squarely against
the belt and ensures a strong, straight splice.
The straight splice also helps ease hinge pin
insertion.
Sturdy hinged construction makes Flexco ®
Bolt Hinged fasteners ideal for applications
that use smaller pulleys, but still require a
high-strength, dependable splice. A choice
of sizes accommodate belts from 1/4"
(6 mm) to 5/8" (16 mm) thick.
Versatile,
easy-to-install design
For belt conveyor applications subject
to frequent length adjustments, the Bolt
Hinged fastener is easy to install – and
re-install. The joint can be separated simply
by removing the hinge pin.
On-site installation requires hand or power
tools. Our exclusive piloted bolt also simplifies
installation and holds fastener plates
firmly in place. For added strength and
pull-out resistance, specially formed teeth
penetrate deep into the belt carcass without
damaging carcass fibers.
Flexco ® Bolt Solid Plate fasteners are engineered
to meet the demands of the toughest
material handling applications, providing a
strong sift-free splice and superior holding ability.
A choice of sizes accommodates belts from
3/16" (5 mm) to over 15/16" (24 mm) thick.
High strength
High strength is the result of superior design
and plate compression on both the top and
bottom sides of the belt. High tensile strength
bolts compress top and bottom plates to
distribute splice tension evenly across the
entire width of each fastener plate. For added
strength and pull-out resistance, specially
formed teeth penetrate deep into the belt
carcass – without damaging carcass fibers.
Easy installation
Field-proven templets, punches, and boring
tools make it easy to quickly and accurately
prepare belts for fastener installation.
Fasteners are easily installed on-site using
portable hand tools or power tools. Our
Flexco ® SR Scalloped Edge Fastener Selection Guide
Belt Thickness
Range
The Flexco ® SR Scalloped Edge fastener
features a low profile that significantly
reduces the fastener’s exposure to cleaner
blades, skirt rubber, and return idlers.
Reduced wear and tear on the fastener
extends the life of the splice to maximize
belt availability and to help keep
productivity on a roll.
Improved performance
Designed for rubber plied and PVC solid
woven belting, and for worn belts unfit for
vulcanized splices, the Flexco SR fastener
features a patented Scalloped Edge design.
The scalloped design contributes to
improved fastener profile resulting in
increased compatibility with belt cleaners
and improved cleaner-tip wear. The
staggered rivet pattern also provides maximum
holding ability by allowing the rivets
to pass betweeen the carcass fibers without
damaging them.
A built-in viewport simplifies fastener positioning.
And self-setting rivets are installed
from the top side of the belt for faster installation.
h-type ®
precleaner with V- or Vp-tips
High Efficiency Tungsten-Carbide Precleaner
The Flexco H-Type ® Precleaner with V- or Protected V-Tips is designed to be positioned on the head pulley and to remove
the bulk of the carryback from the belt. Proven performance over 20 years as the most efficient precleaner in material
handling applications such as coal, iron ore, bauxite and hard rock mining with vulcanized belts.
Durable, tungsten
carbide tips
Heavy-duty, 2-7/8" (73 mm) pole
ensures durability for those tough
applications
Features and Benefits
• Works with vulcanized belts. The tungsten carbide tips allow for maximum
cleaning efficiency and superior wear characteristics. Also available with protected
tips for abrasive applications.
• Complete cleaning system. When teamed with a secondary cleaner, it makes up
a system that delivers maximum cleaning power for the most abusive conveyor
applications.
• Made for mining conveyors. Made from heavy-duty steel with corrosion-resistant
powder coating, the H-Type is available in sizes for belt widths from 18" to 72" (450
to 1800mm). Additional sizes are available upon request.
• Optimal positioning. Blade contact on the pulley is 15° below the horizontal
centerline. This keeps the blades out of the discharge path and protects them from
rocks, large lumps and other debris.
MSP
Standard Mine-Duty Precleaner
Economical and Effective
The MSP Standard-Duty Precleaner is not your average solid-blade belt cleaner that mounts on the head pulley. It is a
mine-tough design that combines simple, do-it-yourself installation, quick maintenance and effective cleaning results with
an affordable price tag.
Heavy-duty 2-7/8”
(72 mm) pole ensures
durability for those
tough applications
Faceted profile design results in
continuous blade edge “renewal” for
improved cleaning efficiency throughout
the life of the blade
Features and Benefits
• Quick-change blade. No tools are needed. Just pull one pin, remove the old blade,
slide in the new one and replace the pin.
• Works with Flexco and other mechanical splices. The spring tensioner quickly
moves the blade away from the belt when a splice passes. The polyurethane blade
easily glides over the splice without damage and with minimal cleaning disruption.
• Easy to service. All maintenance work is done from the easy-access side of the
beltline. Blade retensioning and change-out are quick and easy.
