e The hearing panel may request testimony from representatives <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> appellant Inst ution<br />
members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> programme visitation leam <strong>the</strong> <strong>NBTE</strong> and or o<strong>the</strong>r witnesses whose statements<br />
may be useful to <strong>the</strong> panel The testimony may be presented In written or oral statement<br />
f The recommendations <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> panel shall be based upon evidence presented to it and subject to<br />
<strong>the</strong> condition that was existing at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Programme <strong>Accreditation</strong> visit on which <strong>the</strong><br />
decision being appealed against was made<br />
g The appeal panel s reports and recommendations concerning action on <strong>the</strong> accreditation status<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> appellant institution shall be submitted to <strong>the</strong> Board which may<br />
i set aside its earlier decision and reconsider <strong>the</strong> programme <strong>for</strong> accreditation<br />
OR<br />
ii reaffirm its earlier decision not to accredit <strong>the</strong> programme<br />
h The honourarla travelling and hotel expenses <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> appeal panel will be borne by<br />
<strong>the</strong> appellant institution The total amount involved shall be depos ed with <strong>the</strong> Board be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong><br />
hearing begins<br />
17 0 FUNDING OF THE RE ACCREDITATION VISIT<br />
17 1<br />
The funding <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> re accreditation visit is a joint responsibility <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> National Board <strong>for</strong> Technical<br />
Education NBiE and <strong>the</strong> host institution Tl1e host inst ution shall be responsible <strong>for</strong> providing hotel<br />
accommodation and localtranspollation between <strong>the</strong> nearest airport to <strong>the</strong> institution and between<br />
<strong>the</strong> Institution and <strong>the</strong> hotel where team members are lodged<br />
The National Board <strong>for</strong> Technical Education shall however be responsible <strong>for</strong> team members travelling<br />
expenses kilometer claim air taxifares and honoraria The travelling expenses and honoraria payable<br />
to team members shall be determined by thE Board from time to time<br />
18 0 LIST OF ACCREDITED RE ACCREDITED PROGRAMMES<br />
18 1 <strong>Programmes</strong> granted accreditation shall be published in <strong>the</strong> next issue <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board s Directory <strong>of</strong><br />
Accredited Diploma <strong>Programmes</strong> Offered by Polytechnics Colleges <strong>of</strong> Agriculture and Similar Tertiary<br />
Institutions in Nigeria The directory is published annually<br />
