The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, has constituted a Committee read (i) for Admissions of
Foreign students arid Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) into Engineering Colleges/Institutions for
which they need guidelines, procedures, etc. to follow. The above Committee has met on zo"
October, 20 I0 at 4.00 PM in the Rector's Chamber to finalize the Guidelines and Proper
Admission procedure with fee structure. The Committee has recommended the following:
I. As per the norms of AICTE, the applications for approval from AICTE must be submitted
to the concerned Regional office of the Council along with the views on the applications
from the affiliating University. Accordingly the Institutions desirous for taking admissions
of Foreign Students shall apply to the University to obtain NOC.
2. The Committee constituted by the University shall visit and examine the following aspects
for issuing NOC.
a. NBA Accreditation
b. Hostel facilities
c. Staff strength from proposed increased admissions (1: I 5%)
d. Laboratory facilities
e. Other infrastructure facilities like Sports, Canteen, etc.
f. Library faci Iities
3. The Institution shall apply to AICTE along with NOC from the University for approval for
admissions of Foreign students( 15%).
4. All Foreign students should be admitted through JNTUH only by following the stipulated
admission procedures of Foreign student category.

5. The Tuition fee and. other fees shall be collected from the students as stipulated by the

University and 30% of it shall be retained by the University and 70% will be transfered to
the concerned college.
6. All admissions of Foreign students to private affiliated engineering colleges shall be done
by the Directorate of University Foreign Relations, JNTUH.
7. The academic regulations for the foreign students are same as that of the academic
regulations of the general students of the University
The Vice-Chancellor is pleased to approve the above said recommendations for
Admissions of Foreign students and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) into Engineering
Colleges/Institutions affiliated to JNT University Hyderabad
These orders shall come· in..to force with immediate effect.
