Electronics<br />

• Dynamic range problem:<br />

ΔE=10 keV <strong>at</strong> 100 keV 5 keV/bin<br />

BUT: 200 MeV would need a 40k peak sensing ADC … not existing<br />

Possible solutions:<br />

- 2 parallel chains with different sensitivities … expensive<br />

- logarithmic preamp … hard to calibr<strong>at</strong>e<br />

- digital system with TOT (time-over-threshold)<br />
