2. They shall be responsible for maintaining the Security & Vigilance Dept. in a state of
efficiency, for the training, discipline and morale of its officers and staff. They shall for that purpose
take all such measures, as he may consider necessary, from time to time, by inspection visits,
examination of records, calling for reports and submit their reports to Dy.CSOs/CSVO and implement
the instructions issued by CSVO/Dy.CSVO(Sr)/ Dy CSVO/Dy CSOs
DUTIES:
I ) General
II Specific
For administrative purpose they are allocated responsibilities as under:
l. Senior Security Officer (Western Zone)
2. Senior Security Officer (Eastern Zone)
3. Senior Security Officer (Electric Supply/ City Zone)
4. Senior Vigilance Officer (Vigilance Section)
Their duties can be classified as under:
I) General II) Specific.
In the discharge of their duties they shall be assisted by subordinate officers posted in their respective zones.
They shall:
i) keep in constant touch with the CSVO /Dy CSVO(Sr)/ Dy
CSVO and keep them posted about all matters of importance.
ii) maintain effective liaison with Police Authorities in regard to
protection and security of Undertaking's properties.
iii) maintain liaison with Fire Brigade Officers.
iv) ensure that each of his subordinate officers maintains
discipline and efficiency, amongst staff working under him.
v) keep themselves posted about the problems and needs of each
Zone/Division and shall guide and direct the officers
concerned.
These are divided under following heads.
1. Security and Safety of Cash.
2. Security and Safety of Arms & Ammunition.
3. Fire Prevention, Fire Protection, Fire Fighting and Civil Defence.
4. Security Measures.
