It will be the responsibility of the Dy. Chief Security Officer (Electric Supply) to assist Chief
Security & Vigilance Officer in the protection of Undertaking’s properties particularly in Electric
Supply Industry of the Undertaking, from all kinds of theft, fraud, misappropriation, fire, sabotage &
other forms of damages and waste. He shall implement all measures adopted by Chief Security &
Vigilance Officer.
He shall be responsible for maintaining Security & Vigilance Dept. in a stage of efficiency for the training, discipline and morale of its
Officers and Staff. He shall for that purpose take all such measures, as he may consider necessary from time to time by inspection, visits, examination of
records, calling for reports, submit his observations to CSVO and implement the instructions issued by him to that behalf.
He shall be responsible for the Electric Supply Branch of Undertaking and shall guide the
Officers working under him. It shall also be his duty to keep himself in close touch with various
Heads of Depts. of Supply Branch with a view to securing their fullest co-operation in ensuring the
protection and security of the Undertaking’s premises.
His duties can be classified as under:-
i) General ii) Specific
In the discharge of his duties he shall utilize the services of any of the subordinate
Officers/Staff.
DUTIES (General)
He Shall :
i) keep in constant touch with Dy. CSVO(Sr)/Dy CSVO and keep them
posted about all matters of importance.
ii) maintain liaison with Police Authorities in regard to protection and
security of Undertaking’s properties.
iii) maintain liaison with Home Guards, Civil Defence, Fire Brigade and
Inspectorate of Factories.
iv) ensure that each of his subordinate Officers maintain discipline and
efficiency amongst staff working under him.
v) keep himself posted about the problems & needs of each
zone/division and shall guide and direct the Officers concerned.
DUTIES (SPECIFIC)
These are divided under following heads
i) Security & Safety of cash
ii) Security & Safety of Arms & Ammunition
iii) Fire Prevention/Protection, Fire Fighting & Civil Defence
iv) Security Measures
v) Maintenance of Law & Order
