1. It will be the responsibility of the Dy. Chief Security Officer (Transport) deputed in Western /
Eastern Suburb to assist Chief Security & Vigilance Officer, Dy Chief Security & Vigilance
Officer(Sr) and Dy Chief Security & Vigilance Officer in the protection of Undertaking's properties of
all kinds from theft, fraud, misappropriation, fire and other forms and damage and waste. He shall
implement all measures adopted by the C.S.V.O.
2. He shall be responsible for maintaining the Security Dept. in a state of efficiency, for their
training, discipline and morale of its officers and staff. He shall for that purpose take all such
measures, as he may consider necessary, from time to time, by inspection visits, examination of
records, calling for reports and submit his observations to the CSVO / Dy CSVO(Sr) / Dy CSVO and
implement the instructions issued by them in that behalf.
3. He shall be responsible for the Transport Section in their posting at Western / Eastern zone of
the Undertaking and shall guide the officers working under him.
His duties can be classified as under:
I) General II) Specific.
In the discharge of his duties he shall utilise the services of
any of the subordinate Officers/Staff.
I - Duties (General)
He shall:
i) keep in constant touch with the CSVO and keep him posted about
all matters of importance.
ii) maintain liaison with Police authorities in regard to protection and
security of Undertaking's properties.
iii) maintain liaison with Home Guard s, Civil Defence, Fire Brigade
and Inspectorate of Factories.
iv) ensure that each of his subordinate officers maintain discipline and
efficiency, amongst staff working under him.
