) UNION ACTIVITIES :
Close watch is kept on the activities of the unions such as
Gate Meeting, Strike, Bandh, Morcha, Gherao, stoppage of work etc
and their acts contemplated to disrupt the services of the
Undertaking, are brought to the notice of the Management
immediately.
c) TRAINING :
The Security Dept. has its own Training Centre at Bandra Bus
Depot, where training is imparted to -
1) The recruits of the Security Department
2) Existing employees of the Security Dept., in the form of
Refresher Courses and
3) Various members of the staff in the matter of Civil Defence,
Fire Fighting and Disaster Management.
ARMED GUARD SECTION :
This section is charged with the responsibility of guarding strong rooms, Ticket & Cash
Depts., Central Cash Room and Cash-in-Transit from various depots/Cash Centre to Central Cash
Room/Cash Dept. and from the bank vice versa.
The Armed Guard Section is placed directly under Deputy Chief Security & Vigilance Officer,
who is responsible for its administration, working, training at Police Firing Range, maintaining and
accounting of arms & ammunition as well as their repairs and renewal of arms licenses.
FIRE FIGHTING SQUAD :
This squad carries out work of inspection, cleaning,
maintenance and overhauling of Fire Fighting Appliances such as
various types of fire extinguishers and sand buckets. It checks and
changes and refills, installs these appliances in replacement of the
ones scrapped or used, installs equipments at new sites.
Checking/testing of fire hydrants is also one of their functions. This
