(ix) The proposal for introduction / revalidation of GIB Schemes of
Supply branch is scrutinized by Audit visiting to concerned
sections of the Supply Department. Assess the output record
maintained with the ward and staff allocation for the department
/ section etc.
9.3.1 Checking the Payment of Casual Labourers:-
At present Casual Labourers are posted at various work sites /
chowkies of Supply Division in the fair season for the work of
excavation for cable laying and to attend fauls. The payment of Casual
Labourers is paid according to their attendance and payment is made
fortnightly. The attendance is verified according to the jobsheet
prepared by the Chowkey In-charge and accordingly payment is made
as per the rule in force.
Surprise checking is also carried out by Audit Assistant to check the
actual meter reading brought by the MRBC. Disconnection/Re-
connection Registers, Connection Orders and Billing etc.
The payment of Field Duty Allowance, Hazardous Allowance,
Excavation Allowance is made to the staff of Supply Branch through
the advices. The said advices are checked by confirming the
attendance of the staff, rate of payment and total payment, etc.
