Section maintains a Passenger Tax Register in which entries are made
chronologically of the OB Memo number and earnings of each Reserved
Bus. The Ticket & Cash Department prepares a payment voucher for
Passenger Tax to be remitted to Government. The bill is certified for
payment on the strength of the total earnings as recorded in the
Register.
6.8.16 Certification of recoveries made through refund bills:
This section certifies recoveries, in respect of outstanding
OB Memo, effected through Earnest Money Deposit, Security Deposit
and employees/officers’ Quarters Deposits. The recovery is certified on
the strength of outstanding OB Memo.
6.8.17 Scrutiny and check of Draft Committee Notes in respect of sale of
scrap materials:
This Section receives Draft Committee Notes from the Stores
Department for checking before they are forwarded to the GM. The
Draft/Committee Notes are generally for the following:-
1) Sanction of the Committee for sale of materials above
Rs.2,000/- but not exceeding Rs.1,00,000/- as required
under Section 460 Q (C) of the BMC Act.
2) Sanction of the Corporation for sale of material above
Rs.1,00,000/- as required under Section 460 Q(d).
3) Sanction of the Committee to waive any claims
outstanding, or to institute/compromise any suit made by
the Undertaking for recovering the cost from the party for
reselling the material at his risk and cost.
