This statement is checked with the bills prepared by the OB Section
and it is then ensured that correct charges are recovered.
6.8.4 Furniture hire charges recoverable from officers residing in
Undertaking’s Quarters.
Under S.R. 16/2, Officers using Undertaking’s furniture or domestic
electric appliances are charged hire at 8% p.a. on the initial cost of
each article hired.
Whenever furniture, excepting domestic electric appliances, is given on
hire to an officer, the Stores Department intimates to the O.B. Section
recovery of the hire charges. The O.B. Section records particulars of
such recoveries in the Rent Register. It is ensured every month that
charges at 8% p.a. on the initial cost of the articles are recovered from
the officer concerned. (For domestic electric appliances separate bills
are preferred by the Sales Department and recovery of the same is
checked by the Cash Audit Section). In case of fully depreciated assets
an amount of Re.1/- per month is recovered.
6.8.5 Hire charges for any movable property like transformers etc. hired
to outside parties:
Hire charges for any movable property hired to outside parties are
recovered as per scheduled rates sanctioned by the Committee and the
Corporation. Entry of such recoveries is made by the OB Section in the
Bills Receivable Register. Audit staff verify that correct charges are
recovered for the period of hire.
6.8.6 Officers draw petrol and other material from Stores on personal
requisitions. A petrol Issue Register is maintained by the Materials
