Special Casual Leave
30 days in a calendar year noncumulative
to cover the absence from
duty caused due to certain exceptional
situation not covered by any other
Service Regulation.
Special Leave
93 days (non-cumulative) leave for
each completed period of Five years
service, may be granted during the
next period of five years service.
Thereafter, a similar period of leave
accrues for each period of service of
five years. The leave is on half basic
pay but without allowances and may
be availed of for periods of not less
than fifteen days at a time. This leave
is not admissible on termination of
service.
90 days leave with pay is admissible to
any female member of staff who
adopts a child, from the date of
adoption of a child or till the child
attains 3 years of age.

Besides the above types of earned leave, various types of other leave are also admissible to ‘A’ &
‘B’ grade officers as are under:

Accident Leave
To cover absence from duty as a result of an accident
/an assault arising out of and in the course of
employment or connected with the performance of
their duty in the Undertaking, the General Manager
may sanction special (Accident) leave upto a period of
three months. The cases may refer to the BEST
Committee for grant of such leave in excess of 3
months.
