the wages shall be rounded off to nearest rupee i.e. 50 paise or more shall be
taken as a higher rupee and fraction below 50 paise shall be ignored.
A member's contribution shall be deducted by the Committee from the
salary or wages of each member at the time of payment thereof and shall be
paid by the Committee to the Trustees within 15 days of the close of the
month during which the payment is made to the member and credited to the
individual account of the member as his contribution to the Fund.
The employer shall transfer to the Board of Trustees the contributions
payable to the Provident Fund by himself and employees at the rate
prescribed under the Act from time to time by the 15th of each month
following the month for which the contributions are payable. The employer
shall be liable to pay simple interest in terms of the provisions of section 7Q
of the Act for any delay in payment of any dues towards the Board of
Trustees.
E. COMMITTEE'S CONTRIBUTIONS :
(1) The Committee shall contribute to the Fund monthly and within 15 days of
the close of the month an amount equal to the contribution of each member
for that month at the rate prescribed.
(2) Notwithstanding any contract to the contrary the Committee shall not be
entitled to deduct its contribution from the wage of a member or otherwise to
recover it from him.
(3) The amount of a member's contribution paid by the Committee shall,
notwithstanding the provisions of these rules or any law for the time being in
force or any contract to the contrary be recoverable by means of deduction
from the wages of the members and not otherwise;
