PROVIDENT FUND DEPARTMENT
The B.E.S.& T. Undertaking has been taking due care of the welfare of
its employees. Therefore, the employees of the Undertaking have been
enjoying the benefits of Provident Fund prior to the enactment of the
Employees Provident Fund Act, 1952. The said act has been made applicable
to the Undertaking from 1961, however, the Undertaking has been exempted
and has been allowed to constitute its own Provident Fund Institute w.e.f. 7 th
January 1970.
The B.E.S. & T. Undertaking has its own Provident Fund Institution
and has its own Provident Fund Rules having conformity with the provisions
of the Employees Provident Fund Act,1952. These rules are
amended/revised from time to time as approved by the Regional Provident
Fund Commissioner.
The Undertaking has an independent department for execution and
implementation of Provident Fund Rules and Regulations.
