iii) Monthly job of DVR – After completion of monthly job
of DVR, printouts of Sr. & Jr. Driver incentive bonus
are to be send Zonal Computer Centres statements
regarding % of loss of kms and physical performance
are to be send to T.S. (P & C), Wadala and weekly
statements to S.O.T.E., Bandra on or before of 16 th of
the every month.
5.2.5.9 Compression jobs :-
Compression jobs are carried out by console section for
following reasons :-
a) Shortage of device media.
b) Backups are to be stored for at least 3 to 5 years,
together.
Procedure for compression of device media is as follows:-
i) Make a space on the system
ii) Load the data which are to be compressed
iii) Take a backup on two separate device media
iv) Check the backup media by “tvf” command and
take a hard copy printout, check the printout
whether the compressed data are properly stored
on cartridge/dats.
v) Hand over hard copy printouts and backup
media to Tape Librarian for necessary entry and
preservation.
vi) Delete all the data which are loaded on system
after compression job is successfully done.
vii) Cycle wise monthly backups of billing section
of execution directory is to be compressed after
all cycle are over for that month.
