4.2.1 The allocation of the on roll software officers who are attached to this
sub-sections involved in the centrally processed systems of Electricity
Bills, Security Deposit System and the ESL System for the defective
meter etc., and in the computerisation of the various departments of
Electric Supply Branch, is as follows :-
Sectional Head is P.Sy.A.(BS) in Grade A-4 who is reporting to
SEDP(II).
Electric Supply Billing System - 2 Sy.O. in Grade A-5
(for General Category and special 1 A.Sy.O. in Grade G/G6
category Consumers) & related 2 Programmers in Grade G/G5
work, Security Deposit and CIS System
Billing system of temporary connections, - 1 A.Sy.O. in Grade G/G6
computerisation of Commercial 2 Programmers in Grade G/G5
Department and MRE Department
Vigilance – Supply, Billing System - 1 A.Sy.O. in Grade G/G6
For Agreemental Consumers and 1 Programmer in Grade G/G5
ESC System for defective meters
Total strength of this sub-section is as follows:-

4.2.2 The Electricity Billing System :-
The Electricity Billing system handles the preparation of Bills for its
General Category Consumers, Special Category Consumers and
Agreemental Consumers. The monthly billing program is divided in to
38 cycles, 18 cycles of each North zone and South zone for General
Category Consumers and 19 for Special Category Consumers of high
