The required medicines, as prescribed by the Doctors are
provided to the employee patients. The cost of medicines,
surgical items, CT Scan, Angioplasty, Angiography, Stress
Test, etc. is reimbursed to the employee patients. An
imprest cash of Rs.3,00,000/- is maintained to cover this
expenditure. The Welfare Personnel also visits the members
of staff admitted in private hospitals and explain them the
Hospital Scheme of the undertaking. The expenses incurred
by the members of staff towards the medical treatment/
investigations carried out in private hospitals are
reimbursed as per Administrative Order No. 283 dtd.
15.10.1999. The employee patients who are admitted in
private hospital for treatment of specific diseases such
as Cancer, Heart Surgery and Kidney transplantation are
also rendered medical help and monetary assistance is
provided as per the above mentioned Administrative

Order. All the above medical assistance/help is rendered to
employee
patients by Welfare Department under ‘Hospitalisation
Scheme’. Some members of staff of the Welfare Department
are working at the office situated at Wadala Depot for an
urgent help to our employee patients admitted in the
hospitals at peripheral area.
