CHIEF ENGINEER (CIVIL) - A1
The Chief Engineer (Civil) is officer next below the Assistant General Manager
(Civil). He is directly responsible to the AGM(C) / Addl.GM. He is also responsible for
proper and efficient utilisation of manpower, materials, vehicles, tools and equipments
allotted to the Department under his control.
His duties and responsibilities are briefly as follows:-
8) He is incharge of Estimation, Tenders, First Finder Scheme
and Electrical Section of Civil Engineering Branch.
9) To direct the engineers, technical and administrative staff and
exercise control over their working.
10) Ensuring new trends in design and new construction
materials and critically examine their use specified in
Undertaking's work where beneficial.
11) Implementing the Management's directives, policies and
commitments in respect of Civil Engineering Projects in
concrete programmes.
12) Liaison at very senior level with officials of State Govt., BMC,
BPT, Reliance Energy Ltd, etc.
13) To deal with contract conditions and agreements.
14) To be responsible for structural safety of all premises.
