regarding the claim is subject to the approval of the GM.
The formation of the Review Committee has
helped expeditious disposal of a number of disputed
claims which would otherwise have been pending before
the various Courts/Forums and thereby blocking the
revenue of the Undertaking.
b) SUPREME COURT
Special Leave Petitions filed by or against the
Undertaking are attended to by AGM(L)/CLA. These
matters are entrusted to our Attorneys in New Delhi who
give a regular status report of the matters.
On receipt of intimation from the Attorneys
about the hearing of the matter. Sanction of the GM is
obtained foe deputation to New Delhi.
All connected papers are taken by AGM(L)/CLA
to New Delhi to defend/contest the matter conference
are held with the Attorneys/Counsels in New Delhi on
laws as well as on facts and thereafter the AGM(L)/CLA
given the assistance to the Counsel at the time of
hearing of the matter.
After the matter is disposed of by the Supreme
Court, a detailed note is sent by AGM(L)/CLA to the GM
giving the detailed legal background as also the factual
background.
Further actions if any are also intimated to the
department by oral instructions in urgent cases and to
be followed by confirmatory notes. The papers of the
