The Attorneys may call a conference of the
concerned persons for preparing the case and
clarifications. The DyLA shall notify all such conference
and ensure that they are attended. The DyLA shall
attend the City Civil Court to assist our counsel
appearing in the matte and give appropriate instructions
under the guidance of AGM(L).
Further action in respect of such cases shall be
taken by the Attorneys, who after disposal of the case
shall inform the Legal Department of the outcome and
shall return all papers to DyLA together with copies of
orders/judgements.
On receipt of papers after disposal, the DyLA
shall return the papers of the other departments and
shall pass on the case papers and judgement to the
Clerk concerned of the section for filing.
On receipt of a notice from the City Civil Court,
in regard to any case filed against the Undertaking, the
DyLA shall refer the matter to the concerned department
to furnish all facts and connected documents. The DyLA
shall scrutinize the law points involved and recommend
the case to be defended by the Attorneys and
accordingly, a note shall/will be put up to GM to entrust
this matter to our Attorneys. On receipt of GM’s
approval to the recommendations, the same procedure
as described above.
