He shall be directly responsible to the Junior Engineer/ overseer /Tradesman and
his duties and responsibilities are as follows :
1) To assist tradesmen and Asst. Tradesmen in transporting tools,
equipments and materials.
2) To carry out the activities, either independently or under the supervision
of muccadam or tradesmen connected with
a) Excavation
b) Breaking cement concrete, demolition,
c) Bricks masonry.
d) Stone masonry.
d-1) Preparing and spreading concrete, mortar, premix asphalt
concrete.
e) Transporting materials inclusive of loading and unloading.
f) Cleaning the drains.
g) Removing the debris.
h) Shifting of office furniture.
i) Dewatering of the pits.
j) Erecting scaffoldings.
k) Cleaning of roof gutters etc.
l) Operating water pumps.
m) Watering trees.
n) Sweeping the floor and dusting the furniture.
o) Rubble soling, metaling.
p) Rolling and ramming the surfaces of concrete, asphalt etc.
