Employees contribution towards the P.F. contribution is
brought into books of A/c under the various establishment
through monthly JE.
Stores purchases:
A monthly Local Purchase Allocation Statement is
received from the M.M. Department. A Journal Entry is
prepared for bringing this purchases in the books of A/c by
debiting various Stores Stock Account and crediting to the
Local purchases Control A/c. After issue of the materials to
various Department, Revenue Expenditure of various
departments are debited and same is credited to Stores
Stock A/c.
Electric Supply Earning:
A monthly advice is received from the Consumers
Department for allocation of Electric Supply receipts and
accordingly JE is passed by debiting Electric Supply Debtors
A/c and crediting to undermentioned A/c.
A) Sale of Energy by Meter
B) Streetlighting
C) Sales-services
D) Payment of Electricity duty
E) Other receipts etc.
Electric Supply Debtors A/c gets credit from Receipt day
book. The JE advice is received for the Electric Bills which
are received by bank by debiting the respective collecting
banker A/c and crediting to Electric Supply Debtors A/c.
Contra Bill :
The Consumer Department prefers monthly bill for
Electrical energy used in various departments and same is
