17) To exercise power of eviction of unauthorised occupants and removal of
encroachment from the Undertaking's lands and premises other than
staff quarters.
18) To deal with Recruitment/promotions of technical officers and technical
staff upto level of Deputy Engineer subject to sanction of appropriate
authority.
19) To maintain all Civil Engineering assets.
20) To recommend allotment of Officers' Quarters in accordance with
prescribed rules.
21) To be responsible for structural safety of all structures.
