x) Short Notice Question:An intention of a member to obtain certain information by
asking certain questions before the meeting starts, in writing.

xi) Point of order:- It is a right of a member to raise any issue in the meeting consisting
the subjects pertaining to the organisation. It is at the discretion of the Chairman either
to allow or to rule out the point of order raised by the member.
xii) Index :- It is a list of the proposals put up for the consideration of the Committee and
attached to the agenda and form a first part of the agenda.
xiii) Adjournment of meeting :- It denotes postponement of meeting.
B) MARATHI VIBHAG
A new cell ' Marathi Vibhag' has been established as a part of the Secretarial . Branch
with effect from 8.8. 1988 under the administrative control of the Secretary with a view of
implementing the aspect of the use of Marathi language on large scale in the day-to-day
correspondence & administration of the Undertaking.
List of jobs carried out by 'Marathi Vihag'
1) Establishing various 'Marathi Cells' at departmental levels in different Departments.
2) Helping, assisting and guiding various departments in progressive use of Marathi
Language in the Administration of the BEST Undertaking.
3) Planning, co-ordinating and controlling all activities in the various departmental
Marathi Cells.
4) Preparing and publishing dictionary of common words, phrases, designations etc. in
Marathi for the use of various Marathi cells in departments of the Undertaking.
