SECTION I: ASSOCIATIONS AND INFLUENCE<br />

Associations between Clubs Old Rule<br />

I.1. A Club shall not either directly or indirectly:<br />

I.1.1. apply to hold or hold any Holding in another Club or Football League club; or<br />

I.1.2. issue any of its Shares or grant any Holding to another Club or Football<br />

League club; or<br />

I.1.3. lend money to or guarantee the debts or obligations of another Club or<br />

Football League club; or<br />

I.1.4. borrow money from another Club or Football League club or permit another<br />

Club or Football League club to guarantee its debts or obligations; or<br />

I.1.5. be involved in or have any power to determine or influence the management<br />

or administration of another Club or Football League club; or<br />

I.1.6. permit any other Club or Football League club to be involved in or have any<br />

power to determine or influence its management or administration.<br />

Club Officials Old Rule<br />

I.2. An Official of a Club shall not:<br />

I.2.1. be an Official of another Club or Football League club; or<br />

I.2.2. either directly or indirectly be involved in or have any power to determine or<br />

influence the management or administration of another Club or Football<br />

League club.<br />

I.3. A Club shall not appoint as an Official anybody who:<br />

I.3.1. is an Official of another Club or Football League club; or<br />

I.3.2. either directly or indirectly is involved in or has any power to determine or<br />

influence the management or administration of another Club or Football<br />

League club.<br />

Dual Interests Old Rule<br />

I.4. No Person may either directly or indirectly be involved in or have any power to<br />

determine or influence the management or administration of more than one Club.<br />

V.8<br />

I.5. No Person may either directly or indirectly hold or acquire any Significant Interest in a<br />

Club while such Person either directly or indirectly holds any Holding in another Club.<br />

I.6. A Club shall not either directly or indirectly issue Shares of any description or<br />

grant any Holding to any Person that either directly or indirectly already holds a<br />

Significant Interest in another Club.<br />

Club Contracts Old Rule<br />

I.7. No Club shall enter into a contract which enables any other party to that contract<br />

to acquire the ability materially to influence its policies or the performance of its<br />

teams in League Matches or in any of the competitions set out in Rule L.10.<br />
