<strong>Amgen</strong> <strong>Invoice</strong> <strong>Guidelines</strong>: <strong>Outside</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>North</strong> <strong>America</strong><br />
Note: These guidelines are for suppliers submitting invoices to <strong>Amgen</strong>’s locations outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>North</strong> <strong>America</strong>. If<br />
you are submitting invoices to <strong>Amgen</strong>’s <strong>North</strong> <strong>America</strong>n locations, please refer to the guidelines for <strong>North</strong><br />
<strong>America</strong> payees.<br />
Electronic <strong>Invoice</strong>s<br />
<strong>Amgen</strong> suppliers are encouraged to send their invoices electronically via OB10, our e-Invoicing<br />
supplier. By doing so, no paper invoice should be created or sent. Suppliers who are not yet<br />
registered with OB10 can do so via www.OB10.com/manual_solution. To connect to <strong>Amgen</strong> via<br />
OB10, you will need to enter the appropriate <strong>Amgen</strong> account number provided in Attachment 1 at<br />
the end <strong>of</strong> this document.<br />

Paper <strong>Invoice</strong>s<br />
Suppliers must send their paper invoices directly to the relevant processing centre, which in most<br />
cases will be our outsourced invoice processing centre in Bulgaria. This is the fastest way to get the<br />
paper invoice processed and, upon approval, paid.<br />
The relevant <strong>Amgen</strong> entity name and address is set out in Attachment 1 in the column “Send invoice<br />
to address”. This is the address to which the invoice should be sent.<br />
In addition:<br />
� <strong>Amgen</strong> paying company address details are required in most countries (please<br />
carefully read legal requirements below)<br />
� VAT ID # , if required (please read VAT requirements below)<br />
� A valid <strong>Amgen</strong> Purchase Order number, or if no PO, then the full name <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Amgen</strong><br />
requester is required on the invoice. If one <strong>of</strong> these is not referenced on the invoice,<br />
the invoice is treated as non-compliant and will be returned to the supplier. We do<br />
not accept invoices referencing multiple PO numbers.<br />
Health Care Pr<strong>of</strong>essionals can send their invoices to their <strong>Amgen</strong> representative who will forward the<br />
invoice to the relevant invoice processing centre.<br />
Legal requirements – company address<br />
<strong>Invoice</strong>s must mention the Name, VAT number (see below) and address <strong>of</strong> the customer (in this case<br />
<strong>Amgen</strong>). This address cannot be different than the address <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fice that ordered the goods or<br />
services.<br />
This means that even though the invoice, in most cases, is sent to Bulgaria, the invoice still needs to<br />
mention the address <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Amgen</strong> affiliate (listed in Attachment 1 in the column “Legally mandatory<br />
address on the invoice”). This can be achieved by having the Bulgaria address on the envelope and<br />
the <strong>Amgen</strong> address on the invoice. If a window envelope is used, both addresses must be on the<br />
invoice.<br />
Exceptions on company address requirements<br />
For invoices sent to <strong>Amgen</strong> in Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, UK and Ireland, it is allowed to<br />
address the invoice to a different address other than the <strong>Amgen</strong> address, as long as the correct<br />
company name is mentioned. In these cases, in Attachment 1, there is no further address in column<br />
“Legally mandatory address on the invoice”.<br />

VAT requirements<br />
The supplier must mention the <strong>Amgen</strong> VAT ID number on the invoice in the following cases:<br />
� Delivery <strong>of</strong> goods from an EU country to an <strong>Amgen</strong> company in another EU country<br />
� Delivery <strong>of</strong> services from any European supplier to an EU <strong>Amgen</strong> company<br />
VAT ID numbers <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Amgen</strong> companies are listed in Attachment 1 in column “VAT reg number 1”.<br />
PDF <strong>Invoice</strong>s<br />
PDF invoices sent via email are not considered as e-invoices. In most EU countries, this is not<br />
accepted as a valid invoice. In countries where pdf invoices are legally accepted, suppliers can send<br />
the PDF to their <strong>Amgen</strong> representative. The <strong>Amgen</strong> representative will print out the invoice and send<br />
it to our processing center in Bulgaria.<br />
PDF invoices should not be emailed to the Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Breda, nor to our<br />
processing centre in Bulgaria.<br />
