He was the New York State Indoor and Outdoor Pole Vault Runner- Up and was 12th at the New Balance High School Indoor Nationals. He has a top clearance of 15-3 indoors and 14-6 outdoors. He has a top time of 15.59 in the 110-meter hurdles. He won the 2010 Empire State Games Decathlon with 5,223 points. Personal: O’Brien is the son of Cheryl O’Brien and is studying Civil Engineering. High School: Prado competed in track, cross country, basketball at Orange Grove HS. He was a two-time district champion and qualified for the state meet in the 300-meter hurdles. He was part of a school-record setting 4x200-meter relay team. He was a four-time regional qualifier in track and two-time regional qualifier in cross country. He was a part of a district championship cross country team. He was first team and academic all-district in basketball and competed in the USA Junior Nationals. He is an Eagle Scout and was mentioned in Who’s Who Among High School Seniors. Personal: Prado is the son of Isidore and Gracie Prado and is studying Pre-Physical Therapy. He is a member of the Javelina cross country team. T i m P r i c e Sprints Sophomore • 6-0 • 185 • 1L Corpus Christi, TX Carroll HS 2011: Price earned All-American honors as part of the 4x100-meter relay team that finished fifth in the nation. He was named to the all-Lone Star Conference team after earning 18 points at the conference meet. He earned all-South Central Region honors in the 100 meters and 4x100 relay. He was named the LSC Track Athlete of the Week on March 24 and April 23. He is ranked #4 all-time in the 200 meters, #6 in the 100 meters and #3 in the 4x100-meter relay. 100 (10.29); 200 (20.92). He earned all-South Texas, all-Metro and second team all-state honors at wide receiver. He earned all-state honors in track and was a district and regional champion in the 200-meter dash. He holds the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 21.26. Personal: Price is the son of Thomas Sullivan and is studying Kinesiology. He is related to Javelina Hall of Fame member Ernest Price and is the cousin of former Javelina track All-American Michael Price. D y l a n R i e d e s e l Pole Vault Sophomore • 5-8 • 149 • 1L Victoria, TX Memorial HS 2011: Riedesel red-shirted his second year at Texas A&M-Kingsville. 2010: Indoor Pole Vault (14-1.25); Pole Vault (13-11.25). High School: Riedesel competed in track and football at Victoria Memorial HS. He holds the school and city record in the pole vault. he was a three-time regional qualifier, a state qualifier and two-time all-Area honoree. Personal: Riedesel is the son of Lloyd and Yvonne Riedesel and is undecided on his field of study. S e r g i o R i o s Sprints/Hurdles Junior • 6-1 • 150 • 2L Brownsville, TX James Pace HS 2011: Rios earned All-American honors in the 400-meter hurdles after a fifth place finish. He was named to the all-Lone Star Conference squad after taking second in the 400 hurdles and running a leg on the winning 4x400meter relay. He was tabbed for all-South Central Region honors in the both the 400 hurdles and 4x400 relay. During the indoor season, he earned all-region honors in the 4x400 relay. During the regular season he ran a 52.12 at the Texas Relays to take second place in the college division and earn LSC Runner of the Week honors. Earlier in the season he was named the LSC Runner of the Week after winning the 400 hurdles at the LSU Relays, his fourth straight victory of the season. He is ranked #5 all-time in the 400 hurdles and #8 in the 4x400-meter relay. Indoor 400 (51.39); 200 (24.71); 400 (49.30); 400 Hurdles (51.97). 2010: Rios earned all-LSC honors as a freshmanby winning the LSC title in the 400 hurdles (52.74) and advancing to the national meet. Indoor 400 (50.97); 400 Hurdles (52.47). High School: Rios set the school record in the 300-meter hurdles at James Pace HS. He holds the Sams Stadium record in the 300-hurdles and was a regional and state qualifier in the event. He also played on a playoff football team as a senior. Personal: Rios is the son of Mario and Maria Rios and is studying Computer Information Systems.

High School: Rivas played five different sports at H.M. King HS in Kingsville. He earned second team all-district honors as a wide receiver in football and a midfielder in soccer. He was a two-time regional qualifier in both cross country and track. He was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Personal: Rivas is the son of Estella Rivas and is studying Kinesiology and Sport Management. He is a member of the Javelina cross country team. G i l b e r t R o d r i g u e z Middle Distance Sophomore • 5-9 • 160 • 1L Tampa, FL Wharton HS 2011: Rodriguez red-shirted his second year at Texas A&M-Kingsville. 2010: Indoor 800 (2:01.84); 400 (52.18); 800 (2:02.24). High School: Rodriguez earned second team all-conference honors in cross country and first team all-conference honors in track at Wharton HS. He was a regional qualifier in the 400-meters and was part of a state champion 4x800-meter relay team. Personal: Rodriguez is the son of Gilbert and Silvia Rodriguez and is studying Industrial Technology. G r e g R o u s s e l Throws Sophomore • 6-2 • 225 • SQ Corpus Christi, TX Calallen HS 2011: Shot Put (43-9); Javelin (121-1); Hammer (132-9). High School: Roussel competed in football, powerlifting and track at Calallen HS. He was part of a district championship track team. He earned first team all-district and second team all-region honors in football. He set a school deadlift record of 615 pounds and finished ninth in the state in powerlifting at the 242-pound division. Personal: Roussel is the son of Herb and Darlene Roussel and is studying Kinesiology and Biomedical Science. B r a n d o n R u s s e l l Hurdles Sophomore • 6-4 • 195 • 1L Midlothian, TX Midlothian HS 2011: Russell earned all-South Central Region honors in the 110-meter hurdles. He is #7 all-time in the 100 hurdles. Indoor 60 (8.36); Indoor (22.61); 110 hurdles (14.38); 200 (21.86). High School: Russell set the Midlothian HS school records in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. Personal: Russell is the son of Ronnie and Abigail Russell and is studying Civil Engineering. N o r m a n T h o m p s o n Sprints Senior • 6-0 • 180 • 2L Garnerville, NY Nassau CC 2011: Thompson earned all-Lone Star Conference and all-South Central Region honors as part of the 4x400-meter relay team. He was an all-region winner as part of the indoor 4x400 relay team. He is ranked #8 all-time in the 4x400meter relay. Indoor 200 (23.99); Indoor 400 (50.24); 400 (49.04). 2010: Indoor 400 (52.40); 200 (22.96); 400 (49.70). Nassau CC: Thompson was on the track and football teams. High School: Thompson earned all-section, all-county and all-league honors in track. He was a state qualifier in the 300-meter hurdles. Personal: Thompson is the son of Karriem and Mecelle Abdullah and is studying Criminology. He lettered two years on the Javelina football team. P a c o T r e v i n o Throws Junior • 6-0 • 305 • 1L Portland, TX Gregory-Portland HS 2011: Trevino red-shirted during the outdoor season. Indoor Shot Put (46- 0). 2010: Shot Put (47-11.75); Hammer (112-7); Discus (115-0). 2009: Indoor Shot Put (44-11.5); Discus (130-6); Hammer (99-5); Shot Put (46-0). High School: Trevino was a first team All-District 30-4A selection this season for the Wildcats. He was also a first team All-Metro, first team All-South Texas and a second team state All-Academic selection. He had 321 good blocks and 12 pancake blocks this season. Trevino was a two-year starter at Gregory-Portland. He helped lead Gregory-Portland to an 8-5 record and a spot in the Class 4A Division I quarterfinals.
