1.3 Summary of Risk Assessments<br />

The import risk analysis assessed the biosecurity risks to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> of a number of<br />

organisms potentially associated with this pathway. The organisms were in the most part<br />

grouped into organism types to help simplify the assessment and subsequent analysis. The<br />

organism types or “hazard categories” are listed in the following table:<br />
