Memorial Day Parade Plans Plans for the annual Memorial Day services and .parade were completed this week by a joint committee of representatives of both Miliburn and Springfield organizations. This year, however, there will be no stops at the various cemeteries in the two towns and each town will conduct separate services. Millburn services will be held in Taylor Park at 9:1S a. m. The parade, in Tvhich Springfield will join, will form at Whittingham terrace and Mountainview road and will then proceed north on Wnittingriam terrace, west on Milltmrn avenue, south on Short Hills avenue into Springfield, east on Morris avenue and north, on Main street back to Millburn, The Springfield representatives will hold services on the Municipal Building green at about 11:15. Order of march will be Grand Marshal, Police, Bend, Firemen, American Legion, V.T.W., and Boy end Girl Scouts. All apparatus and cars will come at the end of the parade. Millburn's committee is composed of H. F. Buchholz, W. A. Stoeokle and Harry Nuneviller representing: the Fire Department; Homer Wright, Silas Perkins and Clarence Bair representing the Legion and Oliver Van Houten and George Seel representing the V.F.W. • Christ Church Choir Awards The Eleventh Annual Choir j Festival was celebrated at Christ Church in Short Hills last Sunday afternoon, at which service awards were given for the year's work. The Chamberlain Awards for the best sermon synopsis were won by Ruth Jean Philips of the Girls' Choir and Jansen Treen Clopper of the Boys' Choir, both of whom also Won the Choir Mothers' Awards for perfect attendance as did Shirley Roth. The Jelleme Awards for greatest progress in music "were won by Deborah Grigg of the Girls' Choir and Frederick Ranald Kammerer of the Boys' Choir. Service crosses with ribbons of different colors to indicate the number of years of service in the Choir were awarded to 145 members whose regular attendance had earned them, ranging from 37 awards for a single year of service to one award for 19 years of continuous service. Nineteen bers of the Auxiliary Division graduated to the Girls' and Boys' Divisions. Honor degrees . for completion of requirements in the Choir School were awarded as follows: 1st Degree—Judith Koenig Dey, Deborah Grigg, Frederick Ronald Kammerer and Diane Wheeler. 2nd Degree—Elizabeth Lee Alford, Jansen Treen Clopper and Ruth Jean Philips. 3rd Degree — Nancy Burgess Smith and Henrietta Lewis Simler. The festival is the climax of the year's work for the junior choristers, particularly for those who undertake the special work for ; honor degrees.
