Interium award ceremony took place in the cozy creative<br />

atmosphere of Jacob Gretera Art Center, in Kiev.<br />

Project "Design. New World" presented concepts of<br />

object design, space installations and graphics by<br />

Ukrainian designers and design studios. The project involved<br />

22 participant designers with original concepts, light fixtures,<br />

furniture and decor objects: Sergey Makhno's interior<br />

design workshop, 2B Group Studio, designers Jurko<br />

Gutsulyak and Alexey Venediktov, design bureau "Khochu<br />

Rayu", Nastasya Fomina and Igor Tomenchuk, studio<br />

SOesthetic, Oleg Volosovsky (Loft buro), Yova Yager and<br />

Irina Klebanova (KLEY design). The project was organized<br />

by Kiev International Furniture Forum (KIFF) and<br />

<strong>Magazine</strong> "Salon", supported by partners - "Freedom",<br />

AEG, CAVIO and salons Davis Casa, Luxon and Sfera<br />

Design. The project was realized in the Art Center of<br />

Jacob Gretera (Trade Center "Bolshevik").<br />

Master-class by Italian architect, project designer and<br />

professor of Politecnico di Milano Luca Scachetti<br />

"Interaction of Design and Architecture: Italian Experience".<br />

The master-class was dedicated to issues of interaction<br />

between design and architecture, including mental peculiarities<br />

of design. Luca Scachetti shared the experience<br />

of Italian designers - the art of combining the traditional<br />

and the modern. The master-class was attended by<br />

over 300 designers and architects.<br />

Contract&Retail<br />

Directions "Retail" and "Contract" became important<br />

directions of KIFF 2012. KIFF provided furniture and interior<br />

design market operators with opportunities to directly<br />

interact with owners of hotels and restaurants, resorts<br />

and entertainment centers, sports and rehabilitation facilities.<br />

Events organized within the frameworks of KIFF<br />

explored the challenges of attracting clients with the help<br />

of efficient design.<br />

Project "Showcase. Retail" presented new concepts<br />

and ideas from leading designers and design studios,<br />

realized by furniture and interior design companies, and<br />

positioned design as the tool for boosting the sales.<br />

"Showcase. Retail" incorporated 10 concept showcases<br />

created by Marina Cherkashina, Irina Zavgorodniaya (Studio<br />

Fabrique de FORMe), Vitaliy Ivakhov and "100% Interior",<br />

Peter Shamilov and "TEKA Ukraine", Maria Bekh and
