56 stili #42. 2012 Present-day Realia - Present-day realia can be exciting or boring, obscure or revealing some signs of far or near future. Who could predict the destiny of present-day material or spiritual values and how true these values are today? Professional integration of classical and modern signage is one of the most interesting methods applied in modern architecture. Still another professional challenge is to design unordinary spaces motivating people for comfortable businesslike or leisure relationships. Fortunately, there are high-class professional architects in Georgia, who can cope with such endeavors, and Nino Akhvlediani is one of them. She belongs to the pleiad of architect-designers who developed their creative standing by mastering professional innovations and trying to find the right expression to the modern design language. Nino Akhvlediani's architecture manifests unusual attitude toward material, form, color and natural surroundings. It is surprising how her compositions are enriched by flexibility of their individual details and vice versa. Design of single-family house exterior presented here (construction author - architect Gaga Kiknadze) is first of all highly aesthetic, and this is caused by the scale of urban planning solution, precise selection of construction site, spatial structure of the composition, and innovative, progressive synchronism of technology and functional structure. Exterior image of the house is largely due to Nino Akhvlediani's professionalism. Integrity of design is achieved by application of modern and stylized decor motives, sculpturesque spatial solutions and intricate architectural rhythms. Design, tonality and location of exterior nuances reveal refined taste. In the free-flowing design all the details are exclusive and accentuated. Ultramodern lines and forms are softened by elegant motives; every object attracts the attention worthy of a special phenomenon, an interesting fragment of a movie or an actor on the stage.
