Regeneration of the historical districts of a city, retention of their viability
is an indispensable process, enabling to conserve the most valuable characteristic
traits of a place. This is the reason why Shardeni and Bambis
Rigi Streets were restored to life. Rehabilitation of their historical buildings
and outdoor spaces highlighted the importance of local space composition.
We have repeatedly covered the architectural complex of Mantashevis Rigebi,
located in Bambis Rigi Street, which has been recognized as a historical /
architectural monument of national importance.
After reconstruction, planning of the construction was modified to correspond
to the numerous functions it now combines. Mantashev complex
houses conference and exhibition spaces, offices, cafes, a bar of Two Side
network and several restaurants.
This time, we would like to tell you about a new café CACHE, recently
opened in the same building. Its interior has been created by Alexandra
Abzianidze and Sopo Skhvediani. An attractive and at the same time highly
functional design is smoothly integrated with its environment. Lighting, colors,
accessories, proportions, moving graphics – these tools proved much
more efficient in forming this unordinary space than an artificially developed
structure based on advanced technologies would.
