Sculptural precision and symbolism of Otar
Vephkhvadze reflect the author’s creative concept without
a need for further explanations. At the time being,
Otar Vephkhvadze works on reconstruction of Baratashvili
Street, interpreting its environment and giving new life
to the existing buildings.
Take Romaamori Bar, surrounded by a small
square, a fountain, unusually paved paths… The design
acquires its final image from interaction of forms with
their live environment. Flexible and uninhibited combination
of diverse design elements – including such
unusual material as occasional visitors – creates an
emotional atmosphere in which all the components
are equally meaningful and where notions of fashion
and time are dominated by the sense of freedom and
eternity.
