Perception of an architectural construction, its aesthetical
value firstly depend on the scale of urban planning
solution, selection of the site, spatial composition,
integrity of technique and functional structure.
The above fully describes architectural and planning
solution of the following projects, recently realized
in Tbilisi: a trade center in Dighomi (2005-2006; chief
architect – Giorgi Chumburidze; authors – Gogi
Sulaberidze, Rati Khetsuriani, Giorgi Chumburidze), residential
complex “Parkplace-1” in no.78 Chavchavadze
Avenue (2005-2007; chief architect – Rati Khetsuriani,
authors – Gogi Sulaberidze, Gaga Kiknadze, Shakri
Kurdiani, Irakli Vacheishvili, Mika Kruashvili, Sandro
Ramishvili), reconstruction of Vake Swimming Pool (2004-
2005; chief architect – Gogi Sulaberidze, authors – Sandro
Ramishvili and Gogi Sulaberidze).
Each project dominates and integrates the surrounding
architectural background. Bulky but flexible exterior
shapes not so much correspond to the purpose
of this or that building as provide their artistic interpretation,
highlight their function and render them even
more expressive.
