\tith•mi\ as here. The fall<strong>in</strong>g of some and <strong>the</strong> ris<strong>in</strong>g up of<br />

o<strong>the</strong>rs is what is meant. He will be a stumbl<strong>in</strong>g-block to some<br />

(Isa 8:14; Mt 21:42,44; Ro 9:33; 1Pe 2:16f.) who love darkness<br />

ra<strong>the</strong>r than light (Joh 3:19), he will be <strong>the</strong> cause of ris<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for o<strong>the</strong>rs (Ro 6:4,9; Eph 2:6). "Judas despairs, Peter repents:<br />

one robber blasphemes, <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r confesses" (Plummer). Jesus is<br />

makes it 106 as she was 15 when married, married 7 years, a widow<br />
