527 Order of St Vladimir, Silver Breast Star with gold centre, 84mm, Austrian manufacture, c.1860s,
enameled centre with the motto ПОЛЬЗА, ЧЕСТЬ И СЛАВА (Advantage, Honour and Fame), hallmarked
on pin, maker’s mark PK (possibly Heinrich Plinke himself; the identity is presumed by Solodkoff and
Jacob). Minimal wear, about extremely fine, a very rare early star. £7000-9000
528 Order of St Vladimir, Silver Cross, 2 nd Class, Civil Division, 53.5mm, unmarked, European (possibly
Austrian) manufacture, early 20 th Century, the body of the piece is formed from two halves joined at
the edges, partly gilt, on bow ribbon. Extremely fine, the ribbon a trifle soiled. £1000-1200
