423 Count Feodor Alexeevich Golovin, White Metal Medal, 1698, copied by Hedlinger, bewigged bust left,<br />

rev crowned lion rampant with sword in laurel wreath, 59mm (Diakov 10.2). Dull patches, otherwise<br />

extremely fine, scarce. £250-300<br />

Golovin was a general, Governor of Siberia and Ambassador Extraordinary in China<br />

424 Peter the Great (1672-1725), Capture of Two Swedish Frigates, 6 May 1703, restrike Bronze Medal,<br />

unsigned, draped and armoured bust right, rev two frigates attached by smaller vessels, 55mm (Diakov<br />

I, 16.6). An early restrike from the original dies, the reverse die starting to break, extremely fine. £200-300<br />

425 Battle of Leesno, White Metal Medal, 1708, by J Kettel, Peter on horseback gallops over trophies, rev<br />

Victory at right surveys battlefield and city map, 46mm (Diakov 25.11; Smirnov 177b). Brilliant mint<br />
