Huron Programming Tools Lake Software Design Service INTRODUCTION TO THE HURON Lake provides the Programming Tools for customers who wish to design their own specific DSP and application programs. A C++ DSP Programmers Library is provided, allowing customers to develop their own DSP algorithms and applications on the Huron platform. Alternatively, C++ classes are provided which enable application programmers to incorporate Lake developed algorithms into custom-built applications. Version 3.2 of the programming tools includes a Matlab® interface which enables Matlab 5.2 or 5.3 (32 bit versions) users to compose and run scripts which utilise the Huron hardware for the Measurement and Convolution of audio data. Lake also offers a design contract service to build specific Huron applications to meet customer requirements. Contact Lake Technology for more information on custom designed software. General Installation ↓ To install the Huron license ↓ To install Huron VRack software. Huron Software Version 3.2 Installing New Software Components Software components for the Huron come on a CD. Along with the CD is a licence floppy disk, which “enables” the software components you have purchased. Each of the software components supplied for Huron are installed from Windows 2000 in the same way: the order of installation must be the Software Licence first, the Huron Software second, and any upgrades or patches last. 1. Start Windows 2000 2. Insert the Licence diskette into drive A:\ 3. Click the Start button, then select Run…. When the Run dialogue box appears, enter A:\setup where, A:\ is the drive letter of the Floppy Disk Drive. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the license installation. 1. Start Windows 2000 2. Insert the Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive. 3. Click the Start button, then select Run…. When the Run dialogue box appears, enter [CD]:\setup where [CD] is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. 4. Click OK. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. The Huron Software installation will modify your Huron’s configuration files. After the installation, the Huron needs to be restarted for these changes to take effect.
