THE ENGINEERING TOOLS • Most Lake Technology tools accept only 24 bit binary mode *.SIM files. • The plotmin and plotmax parameters contain a short hand form of a graphical plot of the *.SIM file. These parameters are interpreted by some Lake utilities to display a mini plot of the *.SIM file during file selection dialogues. Both of these parameters are optional and do not affect the data component of the *.SIM file. The data values for the parameters are generated by Lake utilities. HURON TECHNICAL MANUAL PAGE 212
Introduction Operation Starting ↓ To start the Simwin tool The Simwin Tool Simwin provides facilities for: • Converting text or binary data into the *.SIM format. • Listing the data vectors within the *.SIM file. • Editing data vectors within the *.SIM file. • Generating various vectors (eg. random noise, sine waves, etc). • Performing vector arithmetic on data. • Creating window functions. Figure 65 — The Simwin main interface The Simwin application can be started from the Windows Explorer. 1. From the C:\huron32\bin directory 2. Double click on the simwin.exe icon.
