Hardware Connection ↓ Note: When the Huron is set to synchronise to an external clock source, it uses the clock information that is obtained from Huron input 1. Driver Installation ↓ Installing the Hammerfall ASIO driver software Operation Figure 48 – ADAT Connectors OTHER SIMULATION TOOLS The Huron ADAT I/O card must be connected to the RME Hammerfall card for correct operation with the WavePlayer-2. Refer to Figure 1 and make the following audio connections with TOSLINK optical cable: • Connect RME Output 1 to Huron Input 1 • Connect RME Output 2 to Huron Input 2 • Connect RME Output 3 to Huron Input 3 The WavePlayer-2 requires ASIO driver software to be installed for operation with the RME Hammerfall PCI audio card. Huron systems shipped with the RME Hammerfall have the companion ASIO driver and control panel software preinstalled. • If the RME Hammerfall ASIO driver software and control panel are not already installed, follow the installation instructions contained within the RME Hammerfall documentation. WavePlayer-2 is primarily controlled by the Socket application and SNAP commands. The WavePlayer-2 VRack interface is used for system configuration and indication of currently loaded wave files to assist with application development. HURON TECHNICAL MANUAL PAGE 142
Figure 49 — The WavePlayer-2 interface OTHER SIMULATION TOOLS The WavePlayer-2 interface displays the following information for each wave file: Column Description id The wave ID name The path status The status, which can be either Ready (the file is successfully loaded but no voices are bound), Bound (one or more voices are bound), or a message describing an error encountered while loading. ch The number of channels in the wave file kHz The sample rate of the wave file bits The number of bits per sample samps The wave file size in samples per channel voices Shows information on bound voices in this format: (ID)(status){(channels)} where: - ID is the ID of the bound voice - The status is – (if paused), s (if stopped), l if looping, or p if playing. - channels is a comma-separated list of bound output channel numbers.
