Record Checkbox<br />

<strong>Federal</strong> <strong>Commander</strong> <strong>Digital</strong> <strong>System</strong><br />

If the Record checkbox is checked, the Intercom Talk and Listen Chat session will be recorded<br />

until the Intercom session is ended by pressing the End Call button. The Informer-IP individual<br />

configuration settings determine if and when the Intercom Chat session can be recorded.<br />

Recordings are stored in a wavefile in the AudioCapture subdirectory within the <strong>Commander</strong><br />

program directory.<br />

Selecting an Informer Device<br />

An Informer must be selected within the Device Listbox in the Graphical User Interface (GUI) to<br />

begin a Call, Configure, or view the current status of the device. The devices can be selected by<br />

clicking on the row in the list box containing the Informer or by clicking the Select All button. If the<br />

row is double clicked, the Status Detail screen for the device will be displayed.<br />

The devices that show in the listbox can be selected by the Show All Devices button and the<br />

Show Call Requests button located on top of the listbox. The devices can be sorted within the<br />

listbox by clicking on the top of each column to sort by Status, Unit ID, or Unit Name.<br />

Talk Button<br />

The Talk button initiates an Intercom Chat session and allows the EOC operator to send live<br />

voice announcements using a PC microphone. One or more Informers must be selected to talk<br />

to by clicking on the row in the list box containing the desired Informer. The Talk button will<br />

change to a Listen button that can be pressed to allow the EOC operator to listen to the local<br />

microphone in the Informer. Since only one Informer can be listed to at a time, listen will not be<br />
