phenomenon in order to acquire a better underst<strong>an</strong>ding of the overall<br />

situation <strong>an</strong>d give <strong>an</strong> insight into the aspects <strong>an</strong>d needs for policy<br />

pl<strong>an</strong>ning. For th<strong>is</strong> purpose South Tyrol has been taken as a case study,<br />

<strong>an</strong>d a comprehensive overview of the situation has been determined<br />

attitudes of second home owners, local residents, politici<strong>an</strong>s, real estate<br />

agents. The outcome of th<strong>is</strong> paper <strong>is</strong> a hol<strong>is</strong>tic picture of the phenomenon,<br />

which examines the positive <strong>an</strong>d negative impacts <strong>an</strong>d shows the need for<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> study shows result of training using return on investment (ROI)<br />

method for a 5-star hotel in the Antalya Region of Turkey. Th<strong>is</strong> study<br />

makes a valuable contribution to a r<strong>an</strong>ge of pertinent literatures. ROI<br />

measurement has identified that a return on investment (payback period)<br />

<strong>is</strong> in the order of 4.5 months for the hotel under investigation. Th<strong>is</strong> finding
