Die Rektor <strong>en</strong> Visekanselier, prof.<br />

Frederick Fourie, het ’n beroep op<br />

personeel, stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> <strong>en</strong> ander belanghebb<strong>en</strong>des<br />

gedo<strong>en</strong> <strong>om</strong> k<strong>om</strong>m<strong>en</strong>taar<br />

<strong>te</strong> <strong>lewer</strong> <strong>oor</strong> die verslag van die Transformasieplantaakspan<br />

(TPTS) wat amp<strong>te</strong>lik<br />

aan die Uitvoer<strong>en</strong>de Bestuur <strong>oor</strong>handig<br />

is.<br />

Tyd<strong>en</strong>s die <strong>oor</strong>handiging van die verslag<br />

aan die UB het prof. Fourie die taakspan<br />

bedank vir hul harde werk in die<br />

bestuur van ’n k<strong>om</strong>plekse <strong>en</strong> tydrow<strong>en</strong>de<br />

proses van beraadslaging <strong>en</strong> debat.<br />

Volg<strong>en</strong>s prof. Fourie is die werk van<br />

die taakspan nou voltooi <strong>en</strong> sal die Bestuur<br />

die proses verder voer na meer gedetailleerde<br />

planne <strong>en</strong> implem<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>ring,<br />

nadat belanghebb<strong>en</strong>des nog ’n gele<strong>en</strong>theid<br />

gegee is <strong>om</strong> hul m<strong>en</strong>ings <strong>te</strong> opper.<br />

In ’n toespraak tyd<strong>en</strong>s die <strong>oor</strong>handigingseremonie<br />

by die UB-vergadering, het<br />

dr. Ezekiël Moraka, Viserektor: Stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>sake<br />

<strong>en</strong> e<strong>en</strong> van die medev<strong>oor</strong>sit<strong>te</strong>rs van<br />

die TPTS, lede van die taakspan bedank<br />

vir hul moei<strong>te</strong> <strong>en</strong> opoffering wat meegebring<br />

het dat daar vordering was.<br />

Hy het gesê dat die taakspan wyd<br />

met in<strong>te</strong>rne <strong>en</strong> eks<strong>te</strong>rne belanghebb<strong>en</strong>des<br />

beraadslaag het <strong>en</strong> dat die verslag<br />

daardie kritiese areas aandui wat aandag<br />

b<strong>en</strong>odig indi<strong>en</strong> die UV wil v<strong>oor</strong>tgaan met<br />

sy volg<strong>en</strong>de fase van transformasie.<br />

Hy het gesê die feit dat die TPTS<br />

hierdie verslag voltooi het, op die verbint<strong>en</strong>is<br />

van die taakspanlede tot transformasie<br />

dui <strong>en</strong> die verbint<strong>en</strong>is van die ins<strong>te</strong>lling<br />

as ’n geheel tot die proses.<br />

Die tweede gedeel<strong>te</strong> van die verslag<br />

bestaan uit ’n v<strong>oor</strong>ges<strong>te</strong>lde plan <strong>om</strong> hierdie<br />

proses vor<strong>en</strong>toe <strong>te</strong> neem. Die plan is<br />

op daardie kritiese areas gebaseer wat<br />

aandag b<strong>en</strong>odig <strong>en</strong> opper ’n paar v<strong>oor</strong>lopige<br />

v<strong>oor</strong>s<strong>te</strong>lle <strong>oor</strong> hoe hierdie areas<br />

aangespreek moet word. Hierdie v<strong>oor</strong>s<strong>te</strong>lle<br />

sal so gou as moontlik deur die<br />

Bestuur <strong>oor</strong>weeg word <strong>om</strong> ’n reaksie <strong>te</strong><br />

formuleer <strong>en</strong> <strong>om</strong> die v<strong>oor</strong>s<strong>te</strong>lle verder <strong>te</strong><br />

neem in ’n beplande proses wat taakspanne<br />

<strong>en</strong> bestaande k<strong>om</strong>i<strong>te</strong>es betrek. ’n<br />

Aantal werkswinkels <strong>en</strong> dinkskrums kan<br />

ook gereël word <strong>om</strong> verdere inset<strong>te</strong> van<br />

personeel, stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> <strong>en</strong> belangs<strong>te</strong>ll<strong>en</strong>de<br />

Culture of research strong focus at workshop<br />

The C<strong>en</strong>tre for Higher Education Studies and Developm<strong>en</strong>t (CHESD) at the UFS pres<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d a workshop on<br />

research leadership and how to build a culture of research and publishing in an academic departm<strong>en</strong>t on<br />

the Main Campus in Bloemfon<strong>te</strong>in. Here are, fr<strong>om</strong> the left: Ms Yolandé Goos<strong>en</strong>, Research Assistant at the<br />

Die TPTS se verslag is ook by<br />

behoef<strong>te</strong> <strong>om</strong> aan alle belanghebb<strong>en</strong>des<br />

<strong>en</strong> spesialis<strong>te</strong> in spesifieke<br />

areas die gele<strong>en</strong>theid <strong>te</strong> gee <strong>om</strong><br />

inset<strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong> <strong>lewer</strong> betreff<strong>en</strong>de verdere<br />

beraadslaging <strong>oor</strong> transformasie by<br />

Die Bestuurskool aan die UV in<br />

die Fakul<strong>te</strong>it: Ekon<strong>om</strong>iese <strong>en</strong><br />

Bestuurswet<strong>en</strong>skappe het ’n formele<br />

samewerkings<strong>oor</strong>e<strong>en</strong>k<strong>om</strong>s met<br />

die De Haagse Hogeschool (universi<strong>te</strong>it)<br />

in D<strong>en</strong> Haag, Nederland. Onlangs<br />

het die Bestuurskool besoek ontvang<br />

van mnr. Frank Termes <strong>en</strong> mnr. Frans<br />

Dijkstra, onderskeidelik direk<strong>te</strong>ur <strong>en</strong> bestuurder<br />

aan die De Haagse<br />

Hogeschool.<br />

In meer as e<strong>en</strong> opsig be<strong>te</strong>k<strong>en</strong> dié<br />

<strong>oor</strong>e<strong>en</strong>k<strong>om</strong>s baie vir die Bestuurskool.<br />

E<strong>en</strong> van die uitvloeisels van die samewerkings<strong>oor</strong>e<strong>en</strong>k<strong>om</strong>s<br />

is ’n stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>uitruilingsprogram.<br />

Geselek<strong>te</strong>erde<br />

derdejaar-B.C<strong>om</strong>.-stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> in die<br />

Fakul<strong>te</strong>it Ekon<strong>om</strong>iese <strong>en</strong> Bestuurswet<strong>en</strong>skappe<br />

aan die UV voltooi ’n<br />

semes<strong>te</strong>rkursus by die De Haagse<br />

Hogeschool. ’n Verdere v<strong>oor</strong>deel van<br />

die <strong>oor</strong>e<strong>en</strong>k<strong>om</strong>s tuss<strong>en</strong> die twee<br />

instansies is die wedersydse uitruil van<br />

onderrigpersoneel. Die <strong>oor</strong>e<strong>en</strong>k<strong>om</strong>s<br />

gee ook aan die fakul<strong>te</strong>it die gele<strong>en</strong>theid<br />

<strong>om</strong> bui<strong>te</strong>landse moderatore in <strong>te</strong><br />

bring vir nagraadse modules <strong>en</strong> kursusse,<br />

Qwaqwa Campus<br />

Qwaqwa librarian n<strong>om</strong>ina<strong>te</strong>d<br />

for prestigious award<br />

Mr Stoffel Kok S<strong>en</strong>ior Librarian<br />

on the Qwaqwa Campus has<br />

be<strong>en</strong> n<strong>om</strong>ina<strong>te</strong>d for the Free<br />

Sta<strong>te</strong>’s Bookdata/SAPnet Presid<strong>en</strong>t<br />

Award for Deserving LIASA (Library<br />

and Information Association of South<br />

Africa) members. Mr Kok has be<strong>en</strong> an<br />

active member of LIASA since the<br />

foundation of the association and he<br />

was one of the founders of the Eas<strong>te</strong>rn<br />

Free Sta<strong>te</strong> sub branch of LIASA.<br />

The library’s book collection has<br />

grown fr<strong>om</strong> 15 000 to 60 000 and a<br />

c<strong>om</strong>pu<strong>te</strong>r laboratory has be<strong>en</strong><br />

established in the library as well. Mr<br />

Kok has also initia<strong>te</strong>d a project for<br />

upc<strong>om</strong>ing authors. This project makes<br />

an important contribution to the cultural<br />

developm<strong>en</strong>t of the Eas<strong>te</strong>rn Free Sta<strong>te</strong>. Mr Stoffel Kok.<br />

UFS implem<strong>en</strong>ts B.Ed. degree<br />

on Qwaqwa Campus<br />

The UFS has tak<strong>en</strong> a s<strong>te</strong>p to<br />

address the shortage of <strong>te</strong>achers<br />

in the country by offering a B.Ed.<br />

degree in the further education and<br />

training (FET) phase at its Qwaqwa<br />

Campus as fr<strong>om</strong> January 2007.<br />

“The accredi<strong>te</strong>d B.Ed. qualification provides<br />

an opportunity to stud<strong>en</strong>ts to empower<br />

themselves to bec<strong>om</strong>e professional<br />

<strong>te</strong>achers in secondary schools. It<br />

is also suitable for the training of experts<br />

in education-rela<strong>te</strong>d careers such as<br />

instructors and trainers,” said Dr Elias<br />

Male<strong>te</strong>, acting principal of the UFS<br />

Qwaqwa Campus.<br />

According to Dr Male<strong>te</strong>, education in<br />

South Africa is heading for a disas<strong>te</strong>r<br />

owing to the large-scale exodus of<br />

<strong>te</strong>achers c<strong>om</strong>bined with the low <strong>en</strong>rolm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

figures of prospective <strong>te</strong>achers.<br />

“Approxima<strong>te</strong>ly 19 000 <strong>te</strong>achers leave<br />

the <strong>te</strong>aching profession annually, while<br />

all the training institutions in the country<br />

only manage to produce 4 800 new <strong>en</strong>trants<br />

to the profession,” he said.<br />

“Indications are that a considerable number<br />

of stud<strong>en</strong>ts, especially fr<strong>om</strong><br />

KwaZulu-Natal, want to study education<br />

at the Qwaqwa Campus. The implem<strong>en</strong>tation<br />

of the course will also address<br />

the need for qualified <strong>te</strong>achers in the<br />

country and contribu<strong>te</strong> to the sustainability<br />

of the campus,” said Dr Male<strong>te</strong>.<br />

“The B.Ed. is a four-year course.<br />

Prospective stud<strong>en</strong>ts who do not meet<br />

the admission requirem<strong>en</strong>ts may <strong>en</strong>roll<br />

for a one-year career preparation programme<br />

and successful c<strong>om</strong>pletion will<br />

provide them with admission to the<br />

degree the following year. Prospective<br />

stud<strong>en</strong>ts with an M score of 24-27 may<br />

<strong>en</strong>roll for an ext<strong>en</strong>ded B.Ed. programme<br />

over a period of five years,” said Dr<br />

Male<strong>te</strong>.<br />

Other education programmes that are<br />

offered at the Qwaqwa Campus include<br />

a B.Ed. Honours degree in Curriculum<br />

Studies, a B.Ed. Honours degree in<br />

Education Managem<strong>en</strong>t and Leadership<br />

and a Postgradua<strong>te</strong> Certifica<strong>te</strong> in<br />

Education (PGCE).<br />

UFS <strong>te</strong>am most<br />

profitable at JSE<br />

Four stud<strong>en</strong>ts fr<strong>om</strong> the Departm<strong>en</strong>t of<br />

Econ<strong>om</strong>ics at the UFS won the JSE/Liberty<br />

Life University Investm<strong>en</strong>t Chall<strong>en</strong>ge. The<br />

<strong>te</strong>am, who beat more than a hundred <strong>te</strong>ams<br />

fr<strong>om</strong> other universities by managing the<br />

most profitable portfolio of shares on the<br />

JSE Securities Exchange, were, fr<strong>om</strong> the<br />

left: Qing Qing Zhang, Ch<strong>en</strong> Sh<strong>en</strong>, and Xi<br />

Chu. Haip<strong>en</strong>g Mu was also part of the <strong>te</strong>am,<br />

but abs<strong>en</strong>t wh<strong>en</strong> the photo was tak<strong>en</strong>. The<br />

c<strong>om</strong>petition ran for a six-month period (fr<strong>om</strong><br />

March to Sep<strong>te</strong>mber) and <strong>te</strong>ams had to<br />

trade on the JSE by making use of a<br />

simula<strong>te</strong>d trading programme. The <strong>te</strong>am<br />

won R25 000.<br />

word. Die skema is in<br />

November 2006 geïmplem<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>er. Volg<strong>en</strong>s<br />

mnr. Chris Lieb<strong>en</strong>berg, Direk<strong>te</strong>ur:<br />

Finansies, sal die struktuur van die<br />

motorskema waar die totale jaarlikse<br />

kos<strong>te</strong> van die voertuig tot 25% van die<br />

totale vergoedingspakket van die personeellid<br />

beperk word, in wese dieselfde<br />

bly, met ’n paar veranderinge.<br />

’n Salarisprysgawe sal vir die kos<strong>te</strong><br />

van die voertuig gedo<strong>en</strong> word met die<br />

gepaardgaande belastingv<strong>oor</strong>deel. Die<br />

salarisprysgawe vir die kos<strong>te</strong> van die<br />

voertuig sal eg<strong>te</strong>r uitgebrei word <strong>om</strong> die<br />

kos<strong>te</strong> van kapitaal, asook die totale<br />

loopkos<strong>te</strong> bv. brandstof, onderhoud,<br />

versekering <strong>en</strong> lis<strong>en</strong>sies, in <strong>te</strong> sluit.<br />

“Aangesi<strong>en</strong> hierdie kos<strong>te</strong> uit v<strong>oor</strong>belas<strong>te</strong><br />

ink<strong>om</strong>s<strong>te</strong> verhaal word, bring dit ’n<br />

verdere belastingv<strong>oor</strong>deel mee,” sê<br />

mnr. Lieb<strong>en</strong>berg. Die voertuig sal<br />

s<strong>te</strong>eds deel van die kort<strong>te</strong>rmynversekeringspor<strong>te</strong>feulje<br />

van die universi<strong>te</strong>it uitmaak.<br />

<strong>Personeel</strong> bly ook s<strong>te</strong>eds verantw<strong>oor</strong>delik<br />

vir die betaling van boe<strong>te</strong>s.<br />

“Nadat ’n deposito betaal is <strong>en</strong> die<br />

prys verminder is, sal die waarde van<br />

die voertuig vasges<strong>te</strong>l word,” sê mnr.<br />

Lieb<strong>en</strong>berg. Die skema maak v<strong>oor</strong>si<strong>en</strong>ing<br />

vir ’n reswaarde gebaseer op ’n<br />

billike markwaarde van die voertuig.<br />

Nog goeie nuus vir personeel wat in<br />

die skema belangs<strong>te</strong>l, maar ook hul begroting<br />

dophou, is dat r<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> ’n laer<br />

koers, dit is prima min 2,25%, berek<strong>en</strong><br />

word (v<strong>oor</strong>he<strong>en</strong> prima minus 1%) <strong>en</strong><br />

sal berek<strong>en</strong> word op die kapitaal v<strong>oor</strong><br />

BTW. Voertuie sal <strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> supervlootafslag<br />

aangekoop word, wat ’n verdere besparing<br />

<strong>te</strong>weeg kan bring. Indi<strong>en</strong> ’n personeellid<br />

’n nuwe voertuig <strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> ’n laer<br />

prys kan aankoop, sal die<br />

voertuig <strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> die verminderde<br />

prys aangekoop<br />

word. Die <strong>te</strong>rmyn<br />

kan <strong>oor</strong> <strong>en</strong>ige tydperkgestruktureer<br />

Tweedehandse<br />

aangekoop word.<br />

Avis is aanges<strong>te</strong>l <strong>om</strong> die motorskema<br />

nam<strong>en</strong>s die universi<strong>te</strong>it <strong>te</strong> bedryf.<br />

<strong>Personeel</strong>lede sal van ’n vlootkaart<br />

v<strong>oor</strong>si<strong>en</strong> word wat vir alle instandhouding<br />

<strong>en</strong> brandstof gebruik moet word.<br />

Instandhouding word <strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> supervlootpryse<br />

gedo<strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong> personeellede het ’n<br />

keuse hoe hul instandhouding wil struktureer.<br />

’n Motorsorg-ins<strong>en</strong>tief mag aan<br />

personeel betaal word as motivering vir<br />

verantw<strong>oor</strong>delike sorg van die voertuig.<br />

Indi<strong>en</strong> die werklike kos<strong>te</strong> van alle instandhouding<br />

minder is as die geallokeerde<br />

bedrag vir instandhouding, word<br />

’n gedeel<strong>te</strong> van hierdie verskil aan die<br />

UV <strong>te</strong>rugbetaal. Hierdie bedrag sal aan<br />

personeel betaal word as ’n belasbare<br />

bonus drie maande na verstryking van<br />

die <strong>te</strong>rmyn. Voertuie moet deur ’n goedgekeurde<br />

handelaar vir die fabrikaat onderhou<br />

word. Probleme wat met die<br />

voertuig of instandhouding van die voertuig<br />

ondervind word, kan in samewerking<br />

met Avis han<strong>te</strong>er word.<br />

<strong>Personeel</strong> is nie verantw<strong>oor</strong>delik vir<br />

<strong>te</strong>kor<strong>te</strong> wat mag ontstaan wanneer die<br />

voertuig verkoop word nie, maar sal<br />

s<strong>te</strong>eds verantw<strong>oor</strong>delik wees vir die<br />

kos<strong>te</strong> wat nie deel van normale slytasie<br />

of gebruik, soos deur die South African<br />

Vehicle R<strong>en</strong>tal and Leasing Association<br />

aangedui, uitmaak nie.<br />

Die skema is goedgekeur op die<br />

beginsel dat dit nie addisionele kos<strong>te</strong><br />

vir die universi<strong>te</strong>it tot gevolg sal hê nie.<br />

“<strong>Personeel</strong>lede wat reeds van die<br />

bestaande skema gebruik maak, sal die<br />

opsie gebied word <strong>om</strong> in die gewysigde<br />

skema geïnkorporeer <strong>te</strong> word, alhoewel<br />

dit nie verpligt<strong>en</strong>d is nie,” sê mnr.<br />

netwerk gekoppel is <strong>om</strong> parallelle<br />

verwerkings <strong>te</strong> do<strong>en</strong>. In ongeveer<br />

vier minu<strong>te</strong> kan dié rek<strong>en</strong>aar<br />

vergroot word, deur nog ’n node<br />

wellness on campus and to assist staff<br />

Approxima<strong>te</strong>ly 1200 staff members<br />

att<strong>en</strong>ded the sessions that were<br />

pres<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d by the c<strong>om</strong>mit<strong>te</strong>e on the Main<br />

Campus. The Qwaqwa Campus also<br />

pres<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d a number of information<br />

sessions as well as s<strong>om</strong>e wellness<br />

the overall focus will be on taking health<br />

to the people in their place of work. A<br />

number of in<strong>te</strong>rv<strong>en</strong>tions are lined up to<br />

achieve this goal. In our planning we are<br />

making provision for bigger projects<br />

such as a health audit, health risk<br />

assessm<strong>en</strong>t scre<strong>en</strong>ings, staff<br />

developm<strong>en</strong>t in an organisational<br />

con<strong>te</strong>xt (e.g. <strong>te</strong>ambuilding, conflict<br />

resolution) as well as smaller projects<br />

such as social ev<strong>en</strong>ts af<strong>te</strong>r staff members<br />

expressed the need to in<strong>te</strong>ract in a<br />

social con<strong>te</strong>xt. We will also include s<strong>om</strong>e<br />

deeper discussions in next year’s<br />

programme that will add value to the<br />

lives of our staff members.<br />

“The Wellness referral office, in the<br />

people who were traumatised, who were<br />

were mostly referred by forum members<br />

Staff to get minimum<br />

of 5,4 perc<strong>en</strong>t<br />

salary increase<br />

The UFS managem<strong>en</strong>t and<br />

trade unions have agreed<br />

on a salary increase that<br />

can vary betwe<strong>en</strong> 5,4 and 7,0<br />

perc<strong>en</strong>t, dep<strong>en</strong>ding on the subsidy<br />

received fr<strong>om</strong> governm<strong>en</strong>t. A<br />

once-off non-p<strong>en</strong>sionable bonus<br />

of R2000 will be paid in December<br />

2006. The agreem<strong>en</strong>t was signed<br />

by repres<strong>en</strong>tatives of the UFS<br />

managem<strong>en</strong>t and the trade<br />

unions, UVPERSU and NEHAWU.<br />

“As the sta<strong>te</strong> subsidy level is<br />

unfortuna<strong>te</strong>ly not yet known,<br />

remuneration could vary several<br />

perc<strong>en</strong>tage points betwe<strong>en</strong> a<br />

window of 5,4 and 7 perc<strong>en</strong>t,” said<br />

Prof. Niel Viljo<strong>en</strong>, Chief Director:<br />

Operations at the UFS and<br />

chairperson of the UFS Council’s<br />

The bonus will be paid in<br />

December 2006 to staff members<br />

who were in the employ of the<br />

UFS on UFS conditions of service<br />

on 15 November 2006 and who<br />

assumed duties before 1 October<br />

2006.<br />

The agreem<strong>en</strong>t also provides<br />

for the implem<strong>en</strong>tation of an aut<strong>om</strong>atic<br />

annual salary notch adjustm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

for service workers in the<br />

lowest ca<strong>te</strong>gory. All new appointm<strong>en</strong>ts<br />

in this ca<strong>te</strong>gory will be appoin<strong>te</strong>d<br />

at the new <strong>en</strong>try level<br />

(which was previously a fixed<br />

notch). An additional R500 000<br />

will also be alloca<strong>te</strong>d to<br />

acccelera<strong>te</strong> the ra<strong>te</strong> of phasing in<br />

the medical fund allowances.<br />

The implem<strong>en</strong>tation da<strong>te</strong> for<br />

the salary adjustm<strong>en</strong>ts is 1<br />

January 2007, but could possibly<br />

be implem<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d only at a la<strong>te</strong>r<br />

stage due to logistical reasons.<br />

The adjustm<strong>en</strong>t will be calcula<strong>te</strong>d<br />

on the total remuneration<br />

package.<br />

The agreem<strong>en</strong>t also applies to<br />

all staff members of the Vista and<br />

Qwaqwa Campuses whose conditions<br />

of employm<strong>en</strong>t have already<br />

be<strong>en</strong> aligned with those of the<br />

Departm<strong>en</strong>ts of Education of five more provinces in South Africa have bought in to the outreach programme<br />

of the National Council on Econ<strong>om</strong>ic Education (NCEE) in the Uni<strong>te</strong>d Sta<strong>te</strong>s (US) that aims to improve the<br />

quality of the training in Econ<strong>om</strong>ics of <strong>te</strong>achers and lecturers across the world. At a rec<strong>en</strong>t workshop where<br />

heads of the various Departm<strong>en</strong>ts of Education were pres<strong>en</strong>t and received information on this project,<br />

‘Make a positive<br />

differ<strong>en</strong>ce’<br />

Dr Ir<strong>en</strong>e Kamara, S<strong>en</strong>ior Lecturer<br />

at the Departm<strong>en</strong>t of Chemistry<br />

star<strong>te</strong>d working at the UFS in<br />

2001. Prior to that she worked as medical<br />

<strong>te</strong>chnologist at the Moroka hospital<br />

in Thaba ’Nchu af<strong>te</strong>r she and her husband<br />

and their son left Uganda.<br />

Four<strong>te</strong><strong>en</strong> years af<strong>te</strong>r c<strong>om</strong>pleting her<br />

Honours degree in Uganda, Dr Kamara<br />

decided to resume with her studies.<br />

She c<strong>om</strong>ple<strong>te</strong>d her Mas<strong>te</strong>rs in Organic<br />

chemistry, natural products and synthesis<br />

in 1997 and her in Ph.D. on the<br />

same topic, focusing on honey bush<br />

<strong>te</strong>a in 1999.<br />

Her research on honey bush <strong>te</strong>a<br />

contribu<strong>te</strong>d to the developm<strong>en</strong>t of<br />

honey bush <strong>te</strong>a as an industry. She<br />

found that honey bush <strong>te</strong>a has strong<br />

anti-oxidant properties and can be<br />

used to relieve hypert<strong>en</strong>sion, flu and<br />

m<strong>en</strong>opausal sympt<strong>om</strong>s. “It curbs hot<br />

flushes,” she said.<br />

Honey bush <strong>te</strong>a, originally fr<strong>om</strong> the<br />

Wes<strong>te</strong>rn Cape’s fynbos area, is now<br />

cultiva<strong>te</strong>d on farms elsewhere in South<br />

Africa. “The <strong>te</strong>a is produced and expor<strong>te</strong>d<br />

to countries such as Japan and<br />

Germany,” she says.<br />

Fr<strong>om</strong> a more g<strong>en</strong>eral point of view,<br />

Dr Kamara is researching natural products<br />

with a focus on plants with medicinal<br />

properties as well as herbal<br />

<strong>te</strong>as. In her la<strong>te</strong>st research she is<br />

focusing on Walnuts Juglans regia L.<br />

“These nuts have properties which can<br />

relieve metabolic syndr<strong>om</strong>es such as<br />

hypert<strong>en</strong>sion, blood sugar and<br />

diabe<strong>te</strong>s.<br />

Whilst c<strong>om</strong>pleting her Mas<strong>te</strong>rs degree<br />

Dr Kamara also successfully c<strong>om</strong>ple<strong>te</strong>d<br />

her Higher Education Dipl<strong>om</strong>a<br />

on a part time basis through UNISA.<br />

The knowledge and skills served her<br />

well because she won the excell<strong>en</strong>t<br />

lecturer’s award in the Faculty of Agricultural<br />

and Natural Sci<strong>en</strong>ces. “Stud<strong>en</strong>ts<br />

fr<strong>om</strong> the Afrikaans class<br />

att<strong>en</strong>ded my class and <strong>en</strong>joy it.” said<br />

Dr. Kamara.<br />

Although she made South Africa<br />

her h<strong>om</strong>e, Dr Kamara still misses her<br />

family in Uganda. She came to South<br />

Africa with her husband and one son.<br />

Today she has four childr<strong>en</strong>, three boys<br />

and a girl. Just like their mother they<br />

also believe in the value of education<br />

and are respectively studying<br />

Archi<strong>te</strong>cture, B.C<strong>om</strong>m. Marketing,<br />

Electr<strong>om</strong>echanical Engineering and<br />

Electrical Engineering.<br />

Wh<strong>en</strong> not in the lab Dr Kamara<br />

<strong>en</strong>joys sewing, gard<strong>en</strong>ing and reading.<br />

She can practically sew anything together.<br />

“I used to run my own business<br />

in sewing,” she said. She reads chemistry<br />

books and motivational books,<br />

so much so that she plans to one day<br />

wri<strong>te</strong> her own motivational book.<br />

“I believe that one should make a<br />

positive differ<strong>en</strong>ce in the lives of other<br />

people,” Dr Kamara said. With this<br />

view she already has a theme for<br />

chap<strong>te</strong>r one of her book…<br />

The Executive Managem<strong>en</strong>t of the UFS approved the appointm<strong>en</strong>t of Dr Mathews Phosa, former<br />

premier and now businessman, to the UFS for a period of three years. Dr Phosa will be involved with<br />

Studies and Developm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

(CHESD) at the UFS successfully c<strong>oor</strong>dina<strong>te</strong>d<br />

26 short courses and workshops<br />

for academic and support staff<br />

during 2006. Nine hundred and forty staff<br />

members att<strong>en</strong>ded and c<strong>om</strong>ple<strong>te</strong>d these<br />

career-developm<strong>en</strong>t opportunities.<br />

Highlights that were covered include<br />

<strong>en</strong>hancem<strong>en</strong>t of g<strong>en</strong>eric skills focusing<br />

on ori<strong>en</strong>tation of new staff members, financial<br />

managem<strong>en</strong>t, c<strong>om</strong>pu<strong>te</strong>r skills, cust<strong>om</strong>er<br />

service, language skills and HIV/<br />

Aids training. The division also c<strong>oor</strong>dina<strong>te</strong>d<br />

training on research skills.<br />

On the Qwaqwa Campus, nine workshops<br />

lecture on the topic “But<strong>te</strong>rflies and tornados’: A<br />

sys<strong>te</strong>ms approach to health sys<strong>te</strong>ms research<br />

and developm<strong>en</strong>t”. His subject area is health<br />

econ<strong>om</strong>ics, developm<strong>en</strong>t studies and research<br />

methodology. His research focuses on key<br />

health issues, links betwe<strong>en</strong> health and poverty,<br />

and the role of migration in developm<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

UFS in joint v<strong>en</strong>ture with Empowerdex<br />

The UFS became the first <strong>te</strong>rtiary institution<br />

in the country to sign a<br />

joint v<strong>en</strong>ture agreem<strong>en</strong>t with Empowerdex,<br />

South Africa’s foremost black<br />

econ<strong>om</strong>ic empowerm<strong>en</strong>t (BEE) ratings<br />

ag<strong>en</strong>cy, to train BEE practitioners who<br />

will implem<strong>en</strong>t BEE across all sectors of<br />

the econ<strong>om</strong>y. The agreem<strong>en</strong>t was signed<br />

by Mr Vuyo Jack, Executive Chairman of<br />

Empowerdex, and Prof. Frederick Fourie,<br />

Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the UFS.<br />

Mr Jack and Mr Chia-Chao Wu,<br />

Managing Director of Empowerdex, will<br />

be appoin<strong>te</strong>d as visiting professors in the<br />

UFS School of Managem<strong>en</strong>t as part of<br />

the joint v<strong>en</strong>ture. “The joint v<strong>en</strong>ture <strong>en</strong>tails<br />

the establishm<strong>en</strong>t of a transformation<br />

office within the C<strong>en</strong>tre for Business<br />

Dynamics at the UFS which will adminis<strong>te</strong>r<br />

training programmes and conduct<br />

contract research on BEE as well as<br />

the establishm<strong>en</strong>t of a verification ag<strong>en</strong>cy<br />

within the UFS School of Managem<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

The verification ag<strong>en</strong>cy will be able to<br />

verify the BEE c<strong>om</strong>pliance of businesses<br />

in the Free Sta<strong>te</strong> and Northern Cape,”<br />

said Mr Danie Jacobs, Head of the<br />

C<strong>en</strong>tre for Business Dynamics at the<br />

UFS.<br />

According to Mr Jacobs, the v<strong>en</strong>ture<br />

origina<strong>te</strong>s fr<strong>om</strong> the Departm<strong>en</strong>t of Trade<br />

and Industry’s (DTI) directive to draft<br />

codes of good practice for businesses as<br />

sta<strong>te</strong>d in the Broad Based Black Empowerm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

Act 53 of 2003. “The UFS is<br />

the only <strong>te</strong>rtiary institution in the country<br />

which offers a formal certifica<strong>te</strong> whereby<br />

BEE practitioners can be trained in order<br />

to <strong>en</strong>sure that they are c<strong>om</strong>pet<strong>en</strong>t to<br />

measure BEE,” said Mr Jacobs.<br />

“Being able to utilise the UFS’ experi<strong>en</strong>ce<br />

and expertise in the field of<br />

transformation is of great b<strong>en</strong>efit to us,”<br />

said Mr Jack.<br />

The training programmes that will be<br />

offered by the transformation office within<br />

the UFS C<strong>en</strong>tre for Business Dynamics<br />

are the Managem<strong>en</strong>t Developm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

Programme for BEE and Transformation,<br />

the Executive Credit Bearing Short<br />

Learning Programme and an online Non-<br />

Credit Bearing Short Learning Programme<br />

for BEE Specialists.


‘People live in own little prisons’<br />

Prof. Das S<strong>te</strong>ÿn, head of the Departm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

of Urban and Regional<br />

Planning together with Mr Danie<br />

Schoeman, lecturer fr<strong>om</strong> this departm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

and old Kovsie, conduc<strong>te</strong>d a case study<br />

in Lang<strong>en</strong>hov<strong>en</strong> Park in Bloemfon<strong>te</strong>in, on<br />

the role of public space in de<strong>te</strong>rmining<br />

the quality of housing.<br />

According to Prof. S<strong>te</strong>ÿn it is important<br />

to connect public spaces and priva<strong>te</strong><br />

spaces in c<strong>om</strong>munity building. In creating<br />

a successful and sustainable neighbourhood<br />

it is necessary to have a c<strong>en</strong>tre,<br />

shops and offices to supply the weekly<br />

needs of a household, schools, churches,<br />

clinics, and a network of roads and<br />

walkways within a maximum of t<strong>en</strong><br />

minu<strong>te</strong>s walk to the c<strong>en</strong>tre. In the initial<br />

phases of Lang<strong>en</strong>hov<strong>en</strong> Park, provision<br />

was made for the developm<strong>en</strong>t of a<br />

c<strong>en</strong>tre with a series of op<strong>en</strong> spaces and<br />

facilities. However, it never fully<br />

developed into a neighbourhood. More<br />

than tw<strong>en</strong>ty years la<strong>te</strong>r Lang<strong>en</strong>hov<strong>en</strong><br />

Park does not have a school, neither a<br />

public transport sys<strong>te</strong>m, while its access<br />

roads cannot bear the peak hour-traffic.<br />

Prof. S<strong>te</strong>ÿn said: “The developers of<br />

la<strong>te</strong>r developm<strong>en</strong>ts were only in<strong>te</strong>res<strong>te</strong>d<br />

in developing their piece of land,<br />

irrespective of the holistic picture. Wh<strong>en</strong><br />

applying at the authorities to develop,<br />

developers crea<strong>te</strong> a misperception and<br />

receive permission to develop. They<br />

make ad hoc decisions which ignore<br />

policy as implem<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d by the Town<br />

Council and their plans are not b<strong>en</strong>eficial<br />

to the c<strong>om</strong>munity. The lack of access<br />

rou<strong>te</strong>s to and fr<strong>om</strong> townhouse c<strong>om</strong>plexes<br />

is an example of such a practice. In the<br />

case of a crisis, occupants of these<br />

c<strong>om</strong>plexes would not be able to exit the<br />

area. Developers were also permit<strong>te</strong>d to<br />

develop in the buffer zone next to the N1<br />

and on the outskirts of Lang<strong>en</strong>hov<strong>en</strong><br />

Park, which is far fr<strong>om</strong> the c<strong>en</strong>tre.<br />

“Safety lies in a c<strong>om</strong>munity that must<br />

pro<strong>te</strong>ct each other and streets must be<br />

visible and accessible. Curr<strong>en</strong>tly people<br />

cannot feel safe in the streets. In most<br />

c<strong>om</strong>plexes occupants of townhouses<br />

cannot see what is going on in the<br />

streets (public areas) and will not be able<br />

to help if s<strong>om</strong>eone in the street needs<br />

help. Designs have to fall back on high<br />

walls and security f<strong>en</strong>ces to provide<br />

security.”<br />

Prof. S<strong>te</strong>ÿn and Mr Schoeman studied<br />

six c<strong>om</strong>plexes within Lang<strong>en</strong>hov<strong>en</strong><br />

Showing how townhouses are built with little regard for public space.<br />

Park, focusing on the public spaces in<br />

betwe<strong>en</strong> the units, the quality of these<br />

spaces and the effect of developm<strong>en</strong>t on<br />

these spaces. In most cases they found<br />

that the areas betwe<strong>en</strong> units are paved<br />

to reduce maint<strong>en</strong>ance, however paving<br />

<strong>en</strong>hances heat in summer. They also<br />

found that the public areas betwe<strong>en</strong> units<br />

<strong>en</strong> Inligtingstudie, gesê: “Die “grootword”-proses<br />

was opwind<strong>en</strong>d <strong>en</strong> uitdag<strong>en</strong>d.<br />

Die geskied<strong>en</strong>is van die depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t<br />

het in 1971 begin met die totstandk<strong>om</strong>ing<br />

van die Depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t<br />

Perswet<strong>en</strong>skap aan die ou Universi<strong>te</strong>it<br />

van die Oranje-Vrystaat. Twee jaar<br />

la<strong>te</strong>r, in 1973, is hierdie depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t se<br />

fokus verbreed <strong>en</strong> is sy naam verander<br />

na die Depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t K<strong>om</strong>munikasiekunde.<br />

In die jaar 2000, met die toevoeging<br />

van die vak Inligtingkunde by die K<strong>om</strong>munikasiekunde,<br />

is die depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t<br />

herdoop tot die Depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t K<strong>om</strong>munikasie<br />

<strong>en</strong> Inligtingstudie.<br />

“Soos met die lewe wanneer ’n<br />

m<strong>en</strong>s 35 jaar oud word, lê talle uitdagings<br />

The C<strong>en</strong>tre for Developm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

Support (CDS) pres<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>d a<br />

workshop on c<strong>om</strong>munity-based<br />

worker sys<strong>te</strong>ms on the Main<br />

Campus in Bloemfon<strong>te</strong>in. Partners<br />

fr<strong>om</strong> K<strong>en</strong>ya, Lesotho, Uganda and<br />

South Africa are working together to<br />

see how these sys<strong>te</strong>ms can be used<br />

to wid<strong>en</strong> access to services and empower<br />

c<strong>om</strong>munities in the process.<br />

The aim of the workshop was to<br />

bring pilot partners and practitioners<br />

involved in c<strong>om</strong>munity-based worker<br />

sys<strong>te</strong>ms together with national, provincial<br />

and local governm<strong>en</strong>t and to<br />

explore the implications for mainstreaming<br />

these sys<strong>te</strong>ms in South<br />

Africa. The CDS at the UFS rec<strong>en</strong>tly<br />

conduc<strong>te</strong>d an evaluation of c<strong>om</strong>munity-based<br />

worker sys<strong>te</strong>ms in<br />

South Africa, of which the findings<br />

were also discussed.<br />

perdry<strong>te</strong>rapie na ’n groot uitdaging gelyk.<br />

Hulle het eg<strong>te</strong>r glad nie ’n idee gehad<br />

wat dit behels of hoe lon<strong>en</strong>d dit vir hulle<br />

<strong>en</strong> die kinders sou wees nie.<br />

Met ge<strong>en</strong> ondervinding <strong>om</strong> met gestremde<br />

kinders <strong>te</strong> werk nie, het hulle begin<br />

<strong>om</strong> verstandelik gestremde kinders<br />

by <strong>te</strong> staan, <strong>te</strong>rwyl hulle hul spiere ontwikkel<br />

op ’n perd. Volg<strong>en</strong>s Madeline <strong>en</strong><br />

Marinda het hulle al met die eers<strong>te</strong> sessie<br />

besef dat die kinders al dieselfde<br />

speletjies g<strong>en</strong>iet as ander kinders - al<br />

v<strong>oor</strong>deel is dat hierdie speletjies wat ander<br />

kinders do<strong>en</strong> vir pret, vir hierdie kinders<br />

soveel meer be<strong>te</strong>k<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Perdry werk baie goed op die kinders<br />

se motoriese funksies. Maak nie saak<br />

wat hulle gestremdheid is nie - die perdry<br />

<strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t are necessary.” The<br />

in New York has developed a list<br />

of guidelines for the evaluation of housing<br />

haar emosies het ook baie verander. Sy<br />

is baie meer gelukkig as wat sy aan die<br />

begin van die jaar was <strong>en</strong> glad nie meer<br />

so skrikkerig nie.<br />

publication in celebration of its 50 years of<br />

• Berading <strong>en</strong> toetsing van stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong><br />

<strong>en</strong> personeel op ’n vrywillige<br />

basis. Ongeveer 20 persone,<br />

meestal stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>, word per week<br />

getoets. Dit vergelyk baie goed<br />

met ander universi<strong>te</strong>i<strong>te</strong> soos die<br />

Universi<strong>te</strong>it van Pretoria, wat ook<br />

ongeveer 20 persone per week<br />

toets.<br />

• V<strong>oor</strong>toetsberadingsessies waar<br />

beide partye in die verhouding<br />

gesi<strong>en</strong> word. Persone kan ook<br />

vra vir e<strong>en</strong>-tot-e<strong>en</strong> sessies.<br />

ideaal is dat personeel <strong>en</strong> stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> meer<br />

ontvanklik is vir persone met MIV/ Vigs.<br />

M<strong>en</strong>se wat geïnfek<strong>te</strong>er is met die MIV/<br />

Vigsvirus moet bereid kan wees <strong>om</strong> hul<br />

status bek<strong>en</strong>d <strong>te</strong> maak. Die UV het ’n<br />

wonderlike beleid, maar die praktiese<br />

toepassing daarvan is nie daar nie <strong>om</strong>dat<br />

personeel <strong>en</strong> stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> se houding<br />

nie reg is nie.”<br />

Die span by die Kovsie MIV/Vigss<strong>en</strong>trum<br />

het ’n verskeid<strong>en</strong>heid inisiatiewe<br />

<strong>om</strong> persone op kampus wat met<br />

MIV/Vigs geïnfek<strong>te</strong>er of geaffek<strong>te</strong>er is,<br />

by <strong>te</strong> staan, ’n Uitvloeisel hiervan is inligtingsessies<br />

aan personeel sowel<br />

as stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong>. Verskeie onderwerpe<br />

wat verband hou met MIV/Vigs<br />

word tyd<strong>en</strong>s hierdie<br />

inligtingsessies bespreek. Dr.<br />

Basson fokus op dit wat<br />

m<strong>en</strong>se pla <strong>en</strong> waar<strong>oor</strong> hulle<br />

graag wil praat. M<strong>en</strong>se raak<br />

vigs-vermoeid as hulle elke<br />

keer na dieselfde aanbieding<br />

• ’n Onders<strong>te</strong>uningsgroep. In<br />

hierdie groep het persone die<br />

gele<strong>en</strong>theid <strong>om</strong> op<strong>en</strong>baar <strong>te</strong> maak<br />

dat hy of sy geïnfek<strong>te</strong>er is met die<br />

MIV/Vigsvirus. Die stap help baie<br />

<strong>om</strong> <strong>te</strong> ontlaai. Huidiglik gebruik 27<br />

m<strong>en</strong>se in totaal die<br />

onders<strong>te</strong>uningsgroep. Persone wat<br />

geaffek<strong>te</strong>er word deur die siek<strong>te</strong> kry<br />

ook die gele<strong>en</strong>theid <strong>om</strong> vrae <strong>te</strong> vra.<br />

• Verspreiding van kond<strong>om</strong>e op kampus<br />

na al die geboue met kondo<strong>om</strong>houers.<br />

Alhoewel dr. Basson t<strong>en</strong><br />

guns<strong>te</strong> is van onthouding, maak die<br />

Vigss<strong>en</strong>trum met die hulp van die<br />

Depar<strong>te</strong>m<strong>en</strong>t Fisiese Hulpbronne<br />

wel v<strong>oor</strong>si<strong>en</strong>ing vir m<strong>en</strong>se wat<br />

seksueel-aktief is. Daar is ook<br />

personeel wat die kond<strong>om</strong>e gebruik<br />

vir gesinsbeplanning.<br />

• Inligtingsessies <strong>oor</strong> MIV/Vigs vir<br />

personeel. Omdat dit moeilik is <strong>om</strong><br />

personeel by die inligtingsessies <strong>te</strong><br />

betrek, is ons bereid <strong>om</strong><br />

inligtingsessies aan <strong>te</strong> bied <strong>oor</strong><br />

verwan<strong>te</strong> onderwerpe soos deur<br />

personeel <strong>en</strong> stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> versoek, bv.<br />

hoe han<strong>te</strong>er ek iemand wat vir/saam<br />

met my werk wat MIV-positief is,<br />

sielkundige aspek<strong>te</strong> van MIVinfek<strong>te</strong>ring,<br />

wat <strong>oor</strong> MIV moet ek<br />

met my kinders bespreek, is vroue<br />

<strong>oor</strong> Vigs moet luis<strong>te</strong>r. Volg<strong>en</strong>s dr.<br />

Basson is dit belangrik <strong>om</strong> <strong>oor</strong><br />

verskill<strong>en</strong>de aspek<strong>te</strong> van die siek<strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong><br />

praat <strong>en</strong> nie net elke keer op die<br />

mediese aspek<strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong> fokus nie.<br />

Dr. Basson sê: “Onkunde lei eg<strong>te</strong>r<br />

nie net tot stigmatisering nie, maar ook<br />

tot to<strong>en</strong>em<strong>en</strong>de bloots<strong>te</strong>lling aan die<br />

MIV-virus. Daar is individue wat ontk<strong>en</strong><br />

dat hulle seksueel-aktief is, <strong>te</strong>rwyl hulle<br />

wel seksueel-aktief is <strong>om</strong>dat hulle nie<br />

weet wat seks is nie. Hulle dink dan dat<br />

dit wat hulle do<strong>en</strong> nie gekoppel is aan<br />

risikogedrag nie. Daar is gelukkig ook<br />

persone wat hul twee keer per jaar laat<br />

toets, wat ’n goeie t<strong>en</strong>d<strong>en</strong>s is. Sodra<br />

m<strong>en</strong>se hulle gereeld laat toets, verminder<br />

hulle risikogedrag.”<br />

Sou sy die minis<strong>te</strong>r van gesondheid<br />

wees, sal almal hulle elke ses maande<br />

moet laat toets vir MIV/Vigs, sal m<strong>en</strong>se<br />

wat positief toets ges<strong>te</strong>riliseer word <strong>en</strong><br />

sal dié wat hulle nie laat toets nie, belasting<br />

verswaring kry…<br />

regtig veilig in ’n manswêreld,<br />

voeding <strong>en</strong> MIV, my kind/vri<strong>en</strong>d is<br />

MIV positief, wat nou <strong>en</strong><br />

destigmatisering. Praatjies word<br />

aangepas <strong>om</strong> van toepassing <strong>te</strong><br />

• Die s<strong>en</strong>trum sluit ’n eweknieopleidingsk<strong>om</strong>pon<strong>en</strong>t<br />

in met die<br />

leuse Rutanang. Rutanang is ’n<br />

Sotho-w<strong>oor</strong>d wat be<strong>te</strong>k<strong>en</strong> “leer<br />

van mekaar”. Dit is ’n groep<br />

stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> wat opgelei is in alle<br />

aspek<strong>te</strong> rond<strong>om</strong> MIV asook ander<br />

lew<strong>en</strong>svaardighede soos<br />

gesinsbeplanning. Die doel van<br />

die program is <strong>om</strong> risikogedrag<br />

van stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong> verminder. Die<br />

groep het ’n baie s<strong>te</strong>rk invloed op<br />

kampus. Die stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> is self in<br />

koshuise wat dit maklik maak <strong>om</strong><br />

hul inligting <strong>oor</strong> MIV/Vigs met<br />

ander stud<strong>en</strong><strong>te</strong> <strong>te</strong> deel. ’n<br />

Onders<strong>te</strong>uningsgroep vir persone<br />

wat vir drie maande of meer<br />

hulself van seks weerhou het of<br />

wat nog nooit seksueel aktief was<br />

nie, is in die pyplyn. Dié inisiatief<br />

sal ’n uitvloeisel wees van die<br />

eweknieopleiersprogram.

Botha, UFS Culture Officer, Hanno van Heerd<strong>en</strong>, honorary colours for Drama and Theatre Art and finalist<br />

in the ATKV Cresc<strong>en</strong>do Kreatief Liedjieskryf c<strong>om</strong>petition, Thabo Hlongwane, for his achievem<strong>en</strong>t in singing<br />

on a national level in among others Huisg<strong>en</strong>oot Skouspel, and Hilletje Möller, honorary colours for Drama<br />
