iRemit, Incorporated (iRemit), the largest non-bank remittance company continues to
expand and strengthen its business by entering in a service agreement with the Philippine
National Bank (PNB) to better meet the needs of Filipinos abroad. This strategic tie-up with
one of the largest banking institutions in the Philippines will allow iRemit to further carry out
remittance collection services for overseas Filipino workers to their beneficiaries back home.
“We place high priority in strengthening our marketing, and in expanding our disbursement
channels both locally and internationally, in line with our growth strategy,” explained Harris
Jacildo, president and COO of iRemit, Inc.
Under the agreement, iRemit will utilize PNB’s extensive branch network to distribute funds
remitted by its customers overseas to their beneficiaries in the Philippines. The Bank’s wide
geographical reach and special OFW lanes in its branches guarantee superior accessibility and
quality service to customers.
“By adding Philippine National Bank to our remittance distribution platform, we are bringing
a higher level of true convenience for our customers because of the bank’s extensive number
of outlets nationwide,” said Jacildo.
To date, PNB remains as one of the largest banks in the country with its 324 branches located
nationwide. It provides a complete range of banking products and services that address the
diverse needs of its clientele, which includes more than 2 million depositors.
This collaboration with PNB is consistent with iRemit’s mission of maintaining long-term
customer relationships by providing value for money, and quality products and services.
